Join Morgantown Running at 9:00am on Thanksgiving Day for a trot around Morgantown with your family (but please, leave your dogs at home as they are not allowed). Participants can run or walk this 5k course that begins on the blue track by the WVU Coliseum. You will run almost an entire lap around the track before exiting and making a left onto Mon Blvd where you will go downhill, past Mountain State, towards the light. At the light, you will make a right turn onto Boyers Avenue followed shortly by a left turn onto Leeway Street. You will pass Sheetz and then make a left onto the rail trail. The last approximately 2 miles will be on the rail trail heading to the finish behind the Seneca Center at Morgantown Running. There will be awards for the top 3 male and female finishers and the top male and female 5k walkers. Please remember, if you sign up to walk you can only walk, no running! If you want to do both, please sign up for the run. There will also be random drawings for prizes from Morgantown Running. The first 1000 people registered will receive a pair of socks. Kids under 12 are more than welcome to register for the 5k, or they can run in the 800m Turkey Fun Run at 8:30am.
