Awards: Top 3 Male and Female Overall Run the Ranch is a scenic 5k run or walk to benefit Chestnut Mountain Ranch.(www.cmrwv.org) It is a perfect blend of physical activity and nature, offering runners the chance to enjoy the beauty of our 370-acre campus. Country Roads Running Live! An All Access Interview with Alex Minor

The Hurricane Hundred K Runner Education Series is hitting the road. Join us in Morgantown for a special live event at Country Roads Running Co. featuring local legend, and two time Hurricane Hundred K champion, Alex Minor. Alex grew up in Morgantown, ran for Marshall University, and went on to become a two-time Hurricane Hundred K champion on the OG course. Now he’s back in his hometown, building the running community through his own shop. We’ll sit down with Alex to talk about his journey through running and life, hew new venture with Country Roads Running Co, and his experiences at the Hurricane Hundred K. We’ll also talk with young runner Jamison as he prepares for his first ultramarathon and take questions from the audience. This will be recorded live as part of the Hurricane Hundred K Runner Profile Podcast Series. Come hang out, talk running, ask questions, and enjoy pizza from Cottrell’s Country Store. Gene's Run

Registration open April 1st, 2026! Greenmont celebration weekend starts with the Gene's Run events at the historic Gene's Beer Garden. Friday evening is Morgantown's beer mile. Run it individually or with a team of two or four. Saturday morning's 5k travels through the historic and beautiful neighborhoods of Greenmont and South Park. Events are followed by post-race celebrations at Gene's Beer Garden. Continue the family celebrations at the Greenmont Neighborhood Block Party on Saturday evening. Please consider supporting the Gene's Run and the neighborhood by volunteering. Proceeds of the Gene's Run benefit Empty Bowls of Monongalia County.

Mohigans Annual 5K

Morgantown, WV
MHS Foundation will host a 5K Run/Walk.  This year’s event is on Saturday, August 8, 2026.  Registration is 8:30 - 9:30 AM, and the race starts at 10:00 AM, beginning and ending on the rail trail at the Morgantown Marriott Hotel.  All proceeds from the race benefit academics at Morgantown High School.  Join us!  Part of the 2026 NCWV Road Race Series Free T-Shirt if registered by July 31! Pre-registration entry fee is $20, and pre-registration closes at 11pm on 8/6/2025.  The registration fee on race day is $25.

Miles for Migraine West Virginia

Miles for Migraine will host its 5th annual 2-mile Walk, 5K Run and Relax West Virginia Event at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. This event is a fundraiser for Migraine & Headache Awareness, Treatment & Research. Dress up in your best purple flair for a chance at a fun prize!  Funds raised will benefit the West Virginia University Headache Center to support local migraine research and fellowship training programs.
