NOTC Spring Training ClinicForCrescent City Classic The NOTC presents a $30 ($25 NOTC Members) 10K & 5K clinic for runners and walkers of all ages, abilities, and experience levels. The sessions will be conducted by NOTC board members, RRCA-certified coaches and runners and walkers from our community. The training program will run for 10 weeks, starting Saturday, January 24, 2026, and concluding the week of the Crescent City Classic on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Join us for this clinic which will prepare you for the CCC while enjoying the social aspects. All registered participants will receive a (1) free entry into 2026 Park 2 Park 10K/5K on Saturday March 14. The first session will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, 8 AM, at the Bucktown Pavillion. Located inside the Bucktown Marina that is just over the levee off Metairie - Hammond Hwy. The Return of the Fleet Feet Metairie annual spring run group! We will be meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm @ Bonnabel Boat Launch (1599 Bonnabel Blvd, Metairie 70005). We will have two different running programs to help you with your fitness goals! First a beginner 5K program for those looking to get into running for the first time or get back into it after a long hiatus. This is designed to slowly build up your stamina and form to help you tackle a 5K.  Our other program is going to be an intermediate 10K program, for runners looking to add some distance and speed to their workouts. This program is meant to help those who have some 5K experience but are looking to improve further. Neither program locks you in and during the run group you are welcome to do the workouts for either group. Both programs will have coaching available to help with your form, breathing, and training goals. We'll also have some special events with prizes and goodies for all participants!  So come joi

Have you ever wanted to complete an overnight marathon in the middle of the summer in New Orleans?  This is your opportunity, whether an experienced runner or a 1st time Want A Bee, to participate in one of the most unique overnight marathon events in the country in support of Duchenne Muscular Dystropy (DMD) boys.  The HOTTER than HELL MARATHON for RaceMD is a self-timed overnight event/run of 26.2 miles completed in 13, two-mile loops.  If the distance seems daunting to you, you have OPTIONS:  You can finish the distance by any other method (bike, skates), you can complete it as a relay team OR you can do a lesser distance (half, 10k, 5k).  It is YOUR race.... Support our efforts to raise funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy while celebrating motion and spending time with others. Come join Fleet Feet Metairie for our Half & Full Marathon training program! Whether you're an experienced marathoner or you're looking to challenge yourself by running longer than you have before, this is your spot to get race day ready. Your sign up comes with a 12 week training program that covers runs, cross training, and form exercises. Coaches will also be available to answer any questions during our 32 scheduled group runs. Participants will also get their choice of a running singlet or long Sleeve shirt. Group runs During this training program we'll meet every Tuesday & Thursday 6:30PM at the Bonnabel Boat launch for consistent training. We'll also be hosting long runs the first and third Sunday of each month 8AM at the Bonnabel boat launch. Exclusive Events During select runs we will be hosting different shoe and fitness brands to give you the opportunity to test out their product before you buy! On-site coaching and Inclusive Community Our coaches are here to help you get you the most successful race experience possible! From the moment you set your goal until you cross the finish line and have your race day beer in hand. You'll also be among a group of like minded runners to help keep you motivated and challenged.

Local Conferences and the (Archdiocesan Council of New Orleans) hosts the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor® Walk, which raises funds and awareness for the Society’s work serving people living in poverty. Since 2008, the FOP Walk® has raised more than $27 million for those in need across the country. Monies raised will go directly to our local conferences who continue our mission to help needy individuals in our community. Last year's event raised a little of 6500.00 for our servant leaders and the work they do in the community!

HOORAY FOR THE HOLIDAYS! The Crescent City Classic will hold their holiday run/walk in beautiful Lafreniere Park on Saturday, December 5, 2026 (start time is 4pm). The 2-mile course takes you through Lafreniere Park during their annual Christmas in the Park Lights Display. The park is decorated with over 10 million LED lights. The park's festive displays include traditional Christmas lighted figures, the 60 foot Sea Serpent in the lagoon, and many NOLA favorites! The event is filled with gumbo, hot chocolate, beer and other refreshments, photos with Santa, a holiday costume contest, and much more! The Christmas in Lafreniere Park Run/Walk is especially popular among families. Run competitively or enjoy a leisurely walk through the park with friends and family. Participants can enjoy free refreshments and complimentary entry into both the Christmas in the Park Lights Driving Tour AND the Walking Tour of the beautifully lighted Pavilion Island BEFORE the gates are open to the general public! Walk for Weims is a nationwide, grassroots fundraising dog walk supporting Weimaraner rescue, education, and community outreach across the United States. This virtual national event brings together rescue organizations, breed clubs, and Weim lovers to raise awareness and generate critical funds for Weimaraners in need. Participants may walk anywhere—neighborhood streets, local parks, hiking trails, beaches, or with an organized group. Whether walking solo or with a pack, every step helps support rescue and promote breed welfare. Registration allows you to participate virtually or join a local group walk—no need to re-register if plans change.
