The MISD Education Foundation proudly presents the Amazing Spooktacular 5K & Monster 1-Mile, presented by Fuel City, on October 24, 2026, at Town East Mall! Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume and enjoy a fun-filled morning supporting Mesquite ISD teachers and students. Your participation helps bring teacher ideas to life across Mesquite ISD. The event kicks off the Mesquite ISD Read.Play.Talk. Conquer miles of rugged ATV trails, stunning desert vistas, Joshua trees, rocky canyons, and endless blue skies. This is your chance to test your grit on remote, beautiful terrain in the heart of the high desert—where every step feels like a true adventure.   Event Highlights: 100 Miler & 100K: Epic loops with 48-hour cutoffs – start Friday 8:00 AM MST  50 Miler & 50K: Double the fun (or single for 50K) – start Saturday 8:00 AM MST with 24-hour cutoffs  Pacers allowed for 100M/100K after the first lap or when darkness falls; 50K/50M pacers permitted if finishing in the dark. The Rodeo Road Rally is back on June 6, 2026. With 4 distances to choose from, we've got you covered! Routes are ~17, 29, 54 and 64.    After finishing the ride, enjoy a great lunch provided by Whataburger of Mesquite that is included free with your registration.  You'll be able to eat it in Hanby Stadium.  The Annual Rodeo Road Rally event is the Rotary Club of Mesquite's flagship fundraiser program. The rally brings in 850+ riders of all ages from across Texas and other states. The club was able to give back more than $35,000 to the community through scholarships to local high school students, and donations to the Mesquite ISD Education Foundation, Sharing Life Community Outreach, Addressing Mesquite Day, and a number of other local groups. In addition, the cost for student leaders to attend Camp RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awakening), a week-long leadership camp for emerging high school leaders is covered.

The 3 State Marathon has four distances. Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. This race starts in Utah and runs along Arizona and finishes in Nevada. This is a great fast downhill course with around 3500 feet of decline over 26.2 miles. Views on this race are mostly desert landscape with Joshua Trees and crossing over a bridge. This race is all about hitting three states with speed.
