Foothills K9 Training and Crossfit Pistol Creek are excited to announce the FIRST ANNUAL PawFit Fun Run on October 24th! Whether you’re a dog lover, into fitness, or just looking for a fun way to support a great cause, this event is for you! We’ll start the morning at 9:00 AM with a FREE Doggy Costume Contest that is open to the public and their personal dogs! Dress your pup up in their best costume and compete for fun prizes while showing off their personality. Then at 10:00 AM, we’ll hit the course for the PawFit Fun Run! Registration is just $25 and includes an event T-shirt. Friends of Blount County Animal Center will be bringing adoptable dogs that are searching for their forever homes. Participants in the fun run may choose to run or walk with one of the adoptable dogs, bring their own dog, or even participate solo—whatever you're most comfortable with! DIRECTIONS: • From Knoxville, take Pellissippi Parkway or Alcoa Highway toward McGee-Tyson airport. Pass the airport, bear left toward Maryville on Highway 35 (N. Hall Road) for 3 miles, then turn right onto 321 (Lamar Alexander Parkway). Turn left onto S. Court Street, then turn left into the Maryville College campus. Follow Circle Drive as it loops to the left, then you will see Cooper Athletic Center on your right. Plenty of parking is available just behind Cooper in the gravel lots and across Circle Drive in Fayerweather's parking lot. Race begins and ends at Crawford House/ Mountain Challenge (or just point your GPS device to latitude 35.749133, longitude -83.960869). SUPPORTING: • Maryville College Woods - Friends of the College Woods The MC woods is vital for both curricular and co-curricular functions. Trails for running, walking, and biking provide recreation and fitness, and more than 75 amphibian, reptile, bird and mammal species can be commonly seen in the woods. Students can find respite in the 140-acre woods through activities as diverse as disc golf and bird watching. Healthy forests require management, and the college has periodic work days to remove invasive non-native plants, maintain trails, and plant native trees. All additional donations made will go directly to Friends of the College Woods.

Funds raised through the event benefit BCEF, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that delivers needed educational tools for the benefit of students and teachers in all Blount County Schools. Date, Time, and Place: Saturday, November 14th, 2026: One Mile Fun Run, 8:30AM/ 5K 9:00AM at Eagleton College and Career Academy at 2610 Cinema Drive, Maryville, TN 37804 Course Description: The 5K is a USATF-certified course beginning and ending on the ECCA football field. Packet Pick Up: Early packet pickup will be available at a date and time to be announced. Race day packet pickup will be available on site from 7:15 - 8:15 AM. Weather Policy: We prioritize the safety of the participants, spectators, staff and volunteers first. Dangerous weather conditions pose a unique challenge to an event of any size, distance or location. Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event, with special attention placed on the possibility of heavy rain, sleet, thunder, lightning, high winds, extreme temperatures and humidity. Visible lightning occurring within 30 minutes of the scheduled start will cause the race to be postponed for a minimum of 30 minutes. Additional sightings will continue to delay the race in 30-minute increments up to a maximum of 2 delays. Race personnel reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the race or modify the course due to inclement weather. There would be no refunds or transfers.

The Little River Rush Half Marathon offers a unique point-to-point course through the peaceful back roads of Townsend, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and free from the congestion of busier race locations. Runners!  The Few. The Proud.     We are changing up the course and adding new mud to your old mud favorites!! This course will be CHALLENGING. Would you expect anything less from Marines? It consists roughly of 3 miles of off-road running, which entails some obstacles, hills, and of course, mud pits. Wear old clothing and shoes. This off road 5K adventure takes you across scenic trails and fields, obstacles, mud, and water. It is open to individuals and teams. Be prepared for some real clean fun! Showers are  available for those who will need to be cleansed afterwards...Marines will make sure you successfully complete their course! Every participant will receive a Commemorative 2026 Mud Run T-shirt during Packet Pick-up if selected during the registration process.     Ooh-rah!
