Join us for the 17th annual Point of Honor 5K.  This event raises awareness for organ and tissue donation, as well as providing funds to LifeNet Health, a leading enabler of the organ and tissue donation process.   This year's event will take place starting in Downtown Lynchburg, with race HQ at the Depot Grille.  The start and finish line are just a short walk away from this location.   Due to anticipated work on the Blackwater Creek Trail, the utilized course for 2026 is still under consideration.  Upon final determination, a course map will be provided.  Note that the course will start and finish at the Depot Grille adjacent locations, with the majority of the course utilizing the Blackwater Creek Trail. Run 4 Their Lives Lynchburg 5k Run/Walk

Run 4 Their Lives is a Freedom 4/24 event that raises awareness and funds to prevent and end human trafficking both locally and globally. Run 4 Their Lives is Freedom 4/24’s 5k race tradition- created to bring awareness to the issue of human trafficking.  Since its inception, this race has developed to become a fundraiser and tool to implement prevention education.  We ask participants to partner with us in advocacy efforts by becoming fundraisers and using the race as a platform to share about the issue of human trafficking and the work of Freedom 4/24. Healthy Kids Running Series Spring 2026 - Lynchburg, VA

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.  Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. Amazement Square and Centra Autism Center invite you to join us for the 2nd Annual L.O.O.P. (Lynchburg's Optimistic Outstanding Peoples) Run on Sunday, April 19, 2026. The ¼-mile race is designed for runners who benefit from an accessible and sensory-friendly race environment. The course has a gentle uphill start, setting runners up for a fast finish. Participants are encouraged to complete this ¼ mile event in the way that best meets their needs, including running, walking, or utilizing assistive devices. Vibin' in the Hollow Lynchburg Color Run 5k and 1 Miler

Join us for our 4th annual Vibin' in the Hollow Color Run 5k and 1 mi fun run hosted by the Lynchburg Elementary School PTO on the morning of Lynchburg's Spring in the Hollow, Saturday April 25th, 2026.  Back again this year with timing and age group awards! With a most colorful race start line and opportunities along the route to be doused in safe, non-toxic color powder, this run is certain to be a whole vibe! ✌️ There are two route options: the 5k out and back which will be timed, and a shorter 1 mile out and back for those who want in on the fun without all the extra work! 5k racers will begin at 8 am in a grand plume of color, followed by 1 mile participants. United Way 5k on the Runway

The United Way 5K on the Runway, is perfect for participants ages 8 and older, who are able to complete 5K in 60 minutes or less. The course is flat and fast. The course follows the taxiway parallel to the main runway.  Come out, join the fun, support United Way of Central Virginia, and see Lynchburg Regional Airport in a whole new way! There is a 600-person and 60 minute time limit for the event. The United Way 5K on the Runway is scheduled to take flight on Saturday April 25, 2026. Proceeds from this event support the mission of the United Way of Central Virginia.

Mother's Day Weekend Nomad Coffee Fun Run

Join us for a Fun Run to kick off Mother’s Day weekend! This event is open to everyone – bring your kids, pets, spouses, and grandparents. All ages, paces, and distances are welcome! Whether you want to run, walk, or simply enjoy the day, you can choose how far you want to go. We’ll start at 8 AM on Saturday, May 10th, at Linkhorne Middle School. After enjoying the Blackwater Creek Trail, plan to finish at Nomad's Coffee at the Awareness Gardens (a.k.a., the Ed Page entrance of the Blackwater Creek Bike path) for a complimentary coffee/tee/drink from Nomad, courtesy of the LRRC. Then, feel free to stroll back to the middle school at your own pace. This is a fun, laid-back event for everyone, and the best part is it’s completely free! We hope to see you on the trail!

Memorial Day 10K Run & 2 Mile Walk

For the past 11 years, Lynchburg Road Runners Club and Type 1 Diabetes Experience (T1DE) have hosted this race to provide support for local families living with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. It has become a great community and family event. This year the Memorial Day 10k will be hosted by Community Access Network (CAN).  While T1DE is dissolving, Community Access Network, already an area leader in diabetes education and management, will provide for continued support for T1 families in our community. In addition, Community Access Network provides exceptional, comprehensive, quality, and compassionate healthcare to every member of our community.  The Memorial Day 10K is the 7th race in the 2026 Lynchburg Road Runners  Race Series.

The Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler

The historic Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler will celebrate its 52nd year of running on September 26, 2026. Join more than 3,500 runners on a historic course that has hosted participants from around the globe.
