Run the Path is our annual 5K walk/run at Lake Sacajawea in Longview, WA. Run the Path is first and foremost to raise behavioral health awareness during May which is Mental Health Awareness Month. We also support raising awareness for all aspects of wellness. There will be booths and informational vendors at the event. There will be giveaways and raffle prizes. Run the Path is FREE and we the first 400 participants a FREE t-shirt (first come, first served) and runner’s swag bag on the day of the event. R2L 10K Bridge Run – A Scenic Challenge with a Cross-State Twist The R2L 10K Bridge Run takes participants on a scenic journey from Rainier, Oregon, across the iconic Lewis and Clark Bridge, and into the heart of Longview, Washington. The course showcases sweeping river views, the unique experience of running over a major interstate bridge, and the local character of the communities along the way—before concluding with a strong finish at "the Gem of Longview", beautiful Lake Sacajawea Park. With a single, confidence-building climb up the bridge, R2L offers a rewarding challenge paired with unmatched scenery. Whether you're a seasoned runner or tackling your first 10K, R2L delivers a memorable, well-supported experience packed with community spirit, natural beauty, and the thrill of connecting two states—one step at a time.

Register now! This camp is limited to the first 50 registered participants.  The Cowlitz Valley Runners (CVR) are excited to host this day camp (June 24th to June 26th from 9:30 AM to Noon each day) for incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  Campers will meet each day at the RA Long High School auxiliary  gym and have running events at the high school and nearby Lake Sacajawea Park. The camp will introduce kids to aerobic conditioning, proper warmups, running games and activities, racing, team building, health and nutrition, goal setting, running shoes and clothing, and more.  The focus will be on lots of movement and activities.  The camp is free!  Campers will get a t-shirt, water bottle, snacks, and a $5.00 discount to CVR's Go Fourth Mile race on July 4th (immediately before the Longview Go 4th Parade). There will be lots of prizes awarded during the camp too.  This event is free so that any eligible student can participate  regardless of his/her family's financial status. The

Preregistration ends at Noon on 7/3/26 and is just $15.00, Packet pickup and same day registration is from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM in the lobby of the hotel. Longview Early Edition Rotary's Harvest Classic 2026 October 3, 2026 Helping our community since 1980.   Have fun while running or walking a beautiful course and raise funds and awareness to eliminate hunger in our community. Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run November 7, 2026 @ 8:00 am 100 Grand Blvd. Longview, TX 75604   Join us for the 4th Annual Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at the Longview Arboretum & Nature Center! 🦋 This special 5K run/walk benefits the Texas Oncology Foundation, with proceeds staying right here in East Texas to support families facing cancer. After the race, kids 12 and under can take part in the free Little Bug Run through the Arboretum gardens.  While not mandatory, butterfly wings are always encouraged! Run, walk, or flutter along with us—every step makes a difference!     Event Details:  The starting point is at the West Gate of the Arboretum, facing Maude Cobb. Register by October 10th to guarantee your t-shirt. All participants will receive breakfast after the race, a Swag Bag, and Race Bib. Your event registration includes admission to the Arboretum!

This is more than just a race — it’s a show of solidarity with the brave individuals who protect, serve, and heal others, often at great personal cost.
