Races Near Me: Upcoming Running Races

We’d love to invite you to join us for our local RoofMen 5K on November 7th! This race benefits Waymark Foster, a local organization dedicated to supporting youth in foster care. Waymark serves more than 900 youth every year through camps, mentorship, training, and family support. We are deeply honored to donate the proceeds raised by this race to this amazing organization. RoofMen is family owned and operated by a family that has called Rome “home” for generations. We can't wait to see our community show up and show out on race day! The race will begin at our office at 144 W Main Street in Kingston, right down the road! Runners should arrive starting at 7 AM for registration, and the race will begin at 8 AM. We’re looking forward to running alongside you in supporting local youth in foster care!

Help send Eagle Scouts to college! The Soaring Eagles 5K Walk / Run will help raise funds for the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council, Boy Scouts of America's Brian H Swatt Memorial Eagle Scout Scholarship. The Scholarship is awarded annually to two local Eagle Scouts in recognition of their great achievement, and to help them reach even greater heights. The Scholarship is named for Brian Swatt, a Class of 2017 Eagle and model Scout / citizen. Brian was a friend and mentor to so many, and lived the Eagle Scout code with everything he did. Though his life was tragically cut short, we honor and continue his legacy of leadership and service through this scholarship. We invite you to read about Brian's legacy here and here. We hope you join us for the Soaring Eagles 5K on Saturday, November 21, 2026! NOTE: bib pick up begins at 9am, line up is 9:45, race begins at 10am
