About Family Service of the Piedmont The High Point Guild supports the work of Family Service of the Piedmont, a local agency dedicated to empowering individuals and families to restore hope, achieve stability and thrive through quality support services, advocacy and education. Every year, we serve over 28,000 children and adults through direct service and community outreach, addressing issues of child abuse, domestic violence, mental health and financial stability. Last fiscal year our Children's Advocacy Centers conducted 387 forensic interviews. That means they investigated an average of 8 cases of potential child abuse every week. Supporting this event helps fund life-saving child abuse prevention programs and victim support services in our community. Learn more about Family Service's impact and read a client story here. Lance Cpl. Leon Deraps Scholarship Walk/Run/Ride

Jamestown, MO
The Lance Cpl. Leon B. Deraps Scholarship fund gives Jamestown C-1 seniors the opportunity to receive a scholarship in his memory. Leon was a 2005 graduate of Jamestown High School. He died on May 6, 2006 while conducting combat operations in Iraq.  On Saturday, May 2, 2026 we will honor Lance Cpl. Leon B. Deraps for his service and sacrifice to our great country with a walk/run/ride.  20 years gone, but never forgotten.We look forward to bringing the community together to honor our hero. Twenty years later, and may we never forget the cost of freedom.

Muskie 5k

We are celebrating the 29th annual Muskie 5k.  This longstanding event supports Jamestown Students for Charity Club, which helps many students in the Jamestown Area School District, using its funds to help those in our community in need.  The weeknight race runs through Pymatuning State Park in Jamestown, PA.  This unique course runs across the Pymatuning Dam,  offering picturesque views of the reservoir and park.  Handmade wooden muskie trophies will be given to the overall winners male and female and the top 3 finishers male and female in each age bracket. *New for this year!!!  1/2 mile kids race ($5 entry fee)

Tim's House 5K Run/Walk for Mental Health

Tim's House for First Responders was founded in 2018 by Meaghan Valesky, who lost her father to suicide. He was a firefighter and paramedic who fought the silent battle of mental health. Since his passing, Meaghan has been working tirelessly to put an end to the stigma and lower the suicide rate. Through the various fundraisers that the organization does each year, Tim's House gives ALL money back to the first responder to help cover medication, hospitalizations, mental health evaluations, bills, and so much more.  For Mental Health Awareness Month, Tim's House will be doing their very first 5K Run/Walk. This race will be taking place in Jamestown, PA. Registration begins at 6am going until 8am and the race starts at 8:30am. We cannot do all we do without your help. 19th Annual Running of the Pink

To date, Running of the Pink has raised nearly $400,000 for cervical and breast cancer awareness and breast cancer research in the Jamestown, ND area.  Over $56,000 was raised in Running of the Pink 18, 2025 alone! 100% of Running of the Pink proceeds stay LOCAL! We foot the bill for all race costs so that your registration fees, sponsorships and donations can go where they are needed, to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, No Excuses and Central Valley Health Women's Way programs. These programs are dedicated to fighting breast and cervical cancer through early detection.   Date has been set for Running of the Pink 19!! Hosted by RM Stoudt Inc, Saturday, June 6th, 2026 featuring 5k walk/run and 10k run events. Can't join us in-person? No sweat, walk or run for breast cancer virtually!

Jamestown Lakefest Mike Hill 10k/5k

The Lakefest Mike Hill 10k began in 1976.  Mike Hill, HK Cooper, and Bill Magruder wanted a race included in the bicentennial celebration.  Mike encouraged businesses and people throughout the community to get involved in the race.  It was known as the Lakefest 10k until Mike's untimely passing in 2007.  The race was then changed to the Lakefest Mike Hill 10k.  Since then, a 5k has been added.

Chautauqua Striders Youth Track & Field Development Program

CHAUTAUQUA STRIDERS 2026 YOUTH TRACK & FIELD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM The program will run on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM for 6 weeks over the summer. The first session will be Tuesday, July 7th and the last session is on Thursday, August 13th. All practices and meets will be held at Strider Field located at Thomas Jefferson Middle School,195 Martin Road, Jamestown, NY. The Youth Track & Field Development Program (YTFDP) is a summer program designed to introduce kids ages 5-13 to the basics of track and field in a fun and supportive environment. The program runs 2x a week for 6 weeks during July and August, with participants grouped by age and guided by our dedicated coaching staff. By keeping our coach to student ratio low, the program ensures personal attention, skill development, and mentorship. Through participation, athletes can learn basic athletic skills which can be applied to further athletic development. There are also educational objectives pertaining

Ronnie's Way 5K

Those of us who knew Ron Graham knew him as a man of faith and as a visionary community member, with an unwavering commitment to the youth of Chautauqua County. As many now know, Ron passed away on February 2, 2023, after a brief ten month battle with gastroesophageal cancer.  His family, friends, coaches, and former athletes want to continue his legacy. To honor him and continue his personal mission to the youth in our community we will be hosting Ronnie’s Way 5K on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Proceeds from the run will fund the a memorial scholarship and the Ron Graham Memorial Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.  We invite all to register below to participate in the run/walk with us on and join in on the post-finish fun as we come together to remember a truly great mentor, coach and friend.  Jackson-Taylor ParkEleventh & Washington Streets

The Jamestown Rhode Race will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026.  The half-marathon is set on picturesque Conanicut Island and looks out over Narragansett Bay and the Newport Pell Bridge, the largest suspension bridge in New England.  The course features vivid landscapes, winding roads, historic Watson Farm as well as the village of Jamestown with its small shops and quaint restaurants.  Nautical but nice! ⚓️ The race will start at 7:00 am and has a 3.5 hr time limit.  The race has a limit of 425 participants. No Business 100

Come run the No Business 100 October 23-24, 2026. This beautiful autumn race treats runners to miles of technical single-track trails and scenic landmarks. The 2026 No Business 100 is also a qualifying race for the 2027 Western States Endurance Race.   The No Business Hundred is a trail endurance race that begins and ends at the Group Camp in Pickett CCC Memorial State Park. The course is a single 100+ mile loop that traverses through the heart of the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area starting in Tennessee then crossing the state line into Kentucky and back on some of the oldest trails in the southeast. We reverse the direction of the course each year and award a special buckle for runners who complete the course in both directions.   Along the way participants will pass through towering sandstone arches & rockhouses, gaze upon spectacular overlooks & waterfalls, and visit abandoned farms and homesteads including the No Business settlement. Amy King's Memorial 5K Run/Walk Turkey Trot

The Amy King 5K Run will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026 at 9:00 am in Jamestown, NY.      Proceeds raised will benefit the Amy King Kids’ YMCA Summer Camp and Southwestern Central School Scholarships.Amy King was a flight attendant on United Flight 175. She was 29 years old on September 11, 2001 when terrorists hijacked her flight. Turner's Tuff Ten

We put the "ish" in "ten-ish". Just think of the extra distance as a FREE bonus. This 12.4-mile course winds through the beautiful Red Hills Recreation Area in the Sierra Foothills. Winter is an amazing time to run in Red Hills. Water-crossings and mud add difficulty to already challenging, technical terrain. NEW THIS YEAR!! - Giving you options is what DB is all about!  This year we have added a second distance, giving you the choice between a 10ish mile or 10ish K event.  Whichever distance you pick, you will still be seeing the Swisegoods at our only aid station.
