US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Please plan for the weather, bring anything you may want between laps, and check in with race staff if you need help. View Race Course, Results, and Race Information on the US Road Running race page.

Centerstone's 10th Annual Life;Story 5K Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention - Missouri (formerly Accept Zero 5K)

Independence, MO
Life;Story is Centerstone’s national walk/run for suicide prevention, bringing communities together across Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, and Florida for a day of hope, healing, and connection. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome, from families with strollers and kids in the youth races to runners with dogs and virtual supporters joining from afar. Whether you join us in person or virtually, you’ll be part of a meaningful experience that uplifts those impacted by suicide and celebrates the courage it takes to keep going. The semicolon in Life;Story symbolizes a pause—not an ending—and reflects the belief that every person’s story has more ahead. That spirit is felt throughout race day with a welcoming, supportive atmosphere filled with community vendors, mental health and military‑specific resources, free giveaways, and crowd‑favorite perks like an event T‑shirt, finisher medal, and access to our curated Spotify playlist. Proceeds from Life;Story help Centerstone provide mental health and addiction services for individuals with limited or no resources. By participating, you’re helping save lives, strengthening your community, and reminding others that their story matters—and that it’s far from over. A $5 discount is available to 1st Responders using promo code, 1STRESPONDER5, and to Military/Veterans using promo code MILITARY5.
