The APhA-ASP chapter at Marshall University School of Pharmacy is holding their annual 5K at Ritter Park. This 5K is to raise diabetes awareness as well as raise money for the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help further their movement towards treatment, prevention, and finding a cure for diabetes. This event will be April 9th at Ritter Park, Shelter #1 with registration at 5 pm and the race starting at 6:30 pm.  Entry Fees:  Before April 1st: $20 At Registration: $25 T-shirts are guaranteed to all runners (you must be present at the race). T-shirts are available to non-runners for a cost to be determined.  To ensure you get your desired shirt size, please sign up by April 1st, 2026! Direct Link For Scholarship Applications > All submissions must be received via the Google Form.All scholarships are open to ANY High School Senior (class of 2026) in the states of WV, KY, or OH going to college this upcoming Fall Semester. Submissions will be accepted until April 17, 2026 at Midnight. The winners will be announced sometime in May/June. The scholarships will be paid directly to the student's school of choice upon proof of enrollment.Funding for these scholarships are raised from some of our Signature Races that we host annually.

The Huntington MileOpen Water Swim Series & Race USMS-Sanctioned (pending) 📍 Lake Clare | Huntington, Indiana1005 N Broadway Ave. (Fire Station side of lake)  EVENT OVERVIEW The Huntington Mile is a one-mile and two-mile USMS-sanctioned open water swim race held at Lake Clare, a 65+ acre recreational lake in Huntington, Indiana. This event is designed for experienced open water swimmers and is presented and organized by L4L Community Studios, a volunteer-operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The Huntington Mile Open Water Swim Series & Race serves as a fundraiser for L4L Aquatics programming and helps bring awareness to open water swimming, water safety, and community-based endurance sport. THIS RACE IS AN OFFICIAL NATIONAL QUALIFIER FOR THE STATE GAMES OF AMERICA All medalists are eligible represent the state of West Virginia at the 2026 State Games of America being held in Happy Valley, PA. Click the link above for more information.   5K Trail Run/ Walk: The race will take place at Heritage Farm and start at the covered bridge. Racers will head up the Grindstone Trail till they reach the top of the trail. From there, racers will head to the Corn Husker Trail and descend down it finishing near the covered bridge.  Medals for overall men's and women's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd finishers along with men's and women's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in age groups U18, 18-35, 36-50, 51-64, and 65+.   11K Trail Run The race will be an extended version of the 5K Trail Run for veteran trail runners looking for extra thrill! The Marshall University Marathon will be held Sunday November 1st, 2026. There is a certified 26.2 mile marathon as well as half-marathon and a 3.25 Mile Run/Walk. The highlight is carrying a football down the field to the goal line finish!!

Join us for the 11th Annual Veterans Day 5K & Bike Ride event! The start line will be outside the Indiana National Guard at 9 AM in Huntington. Sign up for the scenic 5K, 1 Mile Family Fun Walk or the 17 mile (approximately) Bike Ride. Free refreshments and top place awards will be given out following the race on-site. Huntington Veterans Day 5K Inc. is a registered 501C3. Thanks to our generous donors and money raised from events like this, we were able to complete our first installation to the Memorial Mile!

The Pathfinder Early Learning Center Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving tradition in Huntington County. The Turkey Trot is a 5K run and 1 Mile Walk. Our new location starts at Pathfinder’s Administrative offices, going around the beautiful Pehkokia Woods and passing the Izaak Walton League on the way back. We plan on seeing our 1,100+ participants, along with spectators and fans. Money raised supports the children and programming at the Early Learning Center.
