Windmill Island Gardens' Run of the Mill is back for 2026, and we can't wait to see you at our annual 5K fun-run! This year's Run of the Mill event will take place on Saturday, April 18, where proceeds will continue to support future programs and the ongoing maintenance that helps keep Windmill Island Gardens so beautiful! The Run of the Mill 5k course will take you around the island itself and then head out to Window on the Waterfront before looping back to the island towards the finish line. Registration is $30 per participant and includes a Run of the Mill 5k finisher medal, and a race t-shirt if registered before Friday, March 27, 2026. Please note, t-shirts are not guaranteed after March 27. While all ages are welcome to participate, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The money raised from the Rat Race will now go right back to BR athletics in attempts to improve our athletic facilities, keep highly qualified coaching staff, provide equipment for our athletes, provide an athletic trainer at all home events as well as help cover the cost for opportunities for our athletes to improve their skills and abilities outside the typical season.  This is a fundraising event so in efforts to keep cost low this will not be a chipped event. Runners will all have a BIB and the race will be timed. There are opportunities for individuals to get involved that are not interested in running too, check our sponsorship donations :). We appreciate your dedication and commitment to improving athletics here at Black River, the amount of support and gratitude does not go unnoticed. Only participants registered by April 1 are guaranteed a T-shirt.

Run. Ride. Relief. is a MillerKnoll Foundation-sponsored run, walk, roll, and ride benefiting the MillerKnoll Global Associate Relief Fund. Taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the scenic Marigold Lodge in Holland, Michigan, this event invites MillerKnoll associates and their families to come together for a day of movement, connection, and care.   Participants can choose from multiple ways to get involved, including a 1‑mile family fun run, 5K walk/run/roll, or 40K bike ride. For those who can’t join in person, virtual participation options are available so everyone can take part from wherever they are.   Proceeds from Run. Ride. Relief. support the MillerKnoll Global Associate Relief Fund, which provides immediate financial assistance to associates facing unforeseen disasters or personal hardships. To maximize impact, MillerKnoll Foundation will triple all donations made to the Associate Relief Fund from May 10–16, including donations made through event registration and on race

This year the walk will be held in 3 separate locations including Washington DC where the first event of the year will be held. That event will be on April 18th. The second walk will be held along the Macomb Orchard Trail on May 2nd with the Holland walk on May 16th being the last one of 2026. We are so honored to partner with our family, friends, and neighbors to stand together in this fight that many of our veterans battle alone. Join us in 1 or all 3 events and help us save lives. The Holland Walk will start in the parking lot of Holland State Park Beach with parking available along Lakeshore Dr or in the State Park with a park pass. This is an out and back trek.

Greetings from Maple Avenue Ministries! We are excited to host our annual Juneteenth Freedom 5K Run/Walk on June 13, 2026, celebrating freedom, equality, and community well-being. A part of our mission is to embrace our community in all aspects, including better health.  The 5k serves as a way to encourage healthier living and is fundraiser for Maple Avenue Ministries.

The Firecracker 5K Run/Walk was a great addition to Springfield Township's annual and wildly popular Freedom Celebration! The Firecracker 5K Run/Walk offers participants the opportunity to enjoy the terrain of Community Homecoming Park (including the outstanding fitness trail), compete for top prizes, and help support organizations serving veterans, area youth, Springfield High School students, and those helping to preserve the history of the greater Springfield Township area! On Wednesday, August 5 the Run for the Sun 5k will return to Kollen Park in downtown Holland, beside the beautiful Lake Macatawa.  Here are a few details about the event:  Race Location: Kollen Park, 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland MI, 49423 Parking: Limited parking is available on the east end of Kollen Park where the race begins. There is also street parking nearby with a short walk to the park, or in the west area of Kollen Park, near the boat launch area.  Packet Pick-Up: Bib pickup begins at 4:30pm until race time, adjacent to the starting line in the east end of Kollen Park (near the playground area)! Runners who reserved a t-shirt size by the deadline will be able to pick up their shirts! Holland Blueberry Run is a free and fun event for the community to get together and run. Some of the 5K route is run on the Holland Haven Marathon course near Bowerman Blueberries Farm Market.  Stick around after the run for great door prizes from local businesses and a free blueberry donut.  Holland Blueberry Run is proudly presented by Holland Haven Marathon and Bowerman Blueberries Farm Market. Celebrating the blueberry harvest and connecting with the running community.

Make plans now to join us for the Wings of Mercy West Michigan Runway 5K.  This is a professionally chip timed 5K event that starts on the runway at West Michigan Regional Airport and ends at the Holland CareAffaire Pancake Breakfast (use your race bib to get free pancakes).  It's a fun filled day for the whole family!   All proceeds benefit Wings of Mercy.

Sunday September 13, 2026 Holland Haven Marathon XIII: Running - Community - Celebration The Holland Haven Marathon offers runners a scenic experience along Lake Michigan, starting in Grand Haven and finishing in downtown Holland. This USATF certified marathon takes place in early September, providing mild weather and a final chance to qualify for the Boston Marathon. The Holland Haven Half Marathon starts at Camp Geneva and follows a picturesque route along Lakeshore Drive into Holland, featuring a mostly flat course on paved paths. The 8K Race serves as a perfect introduction to longer distances, with a flat, out-and-back course suitable for both novice and experienced runners. The purpose of the 9th Annual Emerson the Brave Stampede 5K Fun Run & Color Run is to raise vital funds and awareness for DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma), DMG (diffuse midline glioma) and other pediatric brain cancers in honor of our forever 12-year old daughter, Emerson. Emerson battled DMG and radiation induced high grade glioma brain cancers for over 6 years before losing her battle in July 2024. Less than 2% of children diagnosed with DIPG/DMG survive 5 years post diagnosis. Emerson’s miracle survival was due to research and clinical trials supported by The ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation. Every year since Emerson’s diagnosis, our community has come together to raise money to help fund the amazing strides the doctors and researchers have made against this terrible disease. The Gentex Corporation Park2Park Race is the largest annual fundraiser for Neighbors Plus (www.neighborsplus.org), a Christian Community Development Organization in Holland, Michigan.  The Gentex Corporation Park2Park Race includes a Half-Marathon run beginning at 8:00 a.m. and a 5K run/walk starting at 8:30 a.m. Both events start and finish at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds (1286 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland, Michigan, 49424).  Both races are timed by Classic Race Management.

Join us for the 12th Annual Heroes 5K run /2K walk, a charity event hosted by Shields of Hope that aims to spread hope, love, and encouragement to those impacted by cancer in the West Michigan community.  We remember Shauna Smith, who bravely fought cancer, and honor Thoe Kok, who is currently battling brain cancer. The event is open to everyone, including public safety, EMS, and military personnel, who are encouraged to participate in full gear. We invite those affected by cancer to join us in honor of or in memory of a loved one who has faced or is facing this challenging fight. Remember, NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE! While this is not a timed event, a clock will be provided.

14th Annual Run for Your Life Join us for the 14th Annual, MaCQueen's Annual Run for Your Life 10k, 5k and Challenge presented by Phelan Orthodontics.
