During that time, we have had some of the greatest runners in Ohio cross country history come run with us. We continue to follow them and highlight their accomplishments long after they have left middle school. Starting with packet pick up you will start to see what sets us apart. While most events give you a Manila envelope with your runner’s chips and numbers, we give every coach a zippered team bag with everything inside to get them prepared for their race. We give each runner a NEOPRENE WRISTBAND printed with a personal message telling runners to Be Legendary! Paper wrist bands are lot’s cheaper but we want to invest in our athletes. Charity Partner: United Way of Union County Our annual race is a great opportunity to support the work that United Way does in our community. United Way of Union County funds 29 local partner agencies that directly impact local residents and families. These agencies provide services including food, shelter, personal needs items, peer support for those recovering from mental illness and addiction, mentorship programs for youth success, senior engagements, and so much more. These agencies LIVE the United Way of Union County mission statement by bringing neighbors and resources together to improve lives in Union County and Plain City through economic stability, access to health, childhood/youth success and senior engagement. Because You Can is a Halloween 5K run and walk created in memory of Leslie Ungerott. Most participants walk, and people of all ages and abilities are welcome. The event brings families, students, teams and sponsors together to help Kateswell support people affected by cancer. Sponsors cover the event costs, so 100% of registrations and donations support Kateswell’s mission, helping with real needs such as medical bills, rent and utilities.

Black Friday event start time: 9:00 AM Thanksgiving is a day for Turkey Trots, lots of homecooked food, family, and football. And maybe a nap. And then comes Friday... leftovers galore. You'll be eating turkey and mashed potatoes in various forms for days! As runners, we all have plenty of clothing and shoes that are "leftover" from prior seasons or no longer see the wear we thought they would. And lastly, as race directors (okay, maybe that's just us!) we always have extra shirts and medals when a race is completed. We've accumulated a lot of "leftover" swag over the years and we thought we might do something fun before we make a donation to help those in need. So we came up with the Leftover Run and we're asking for your help. The Leftover Run? Yes! This race takes place on Black Friday at the Dublin Recreation Center. The concept is pretty basic: we have leftover race shirts and medals from events over the past few years. You pay $20 to participate in the Leftover Run and you'll get a race shirt in your indicated size and a medal. Runners and walkers are welcome. Simple! You said you can use my help, how does that work? This race supports the Columbus Running Company Charity Fund. The Columbus Running Company Charity Fund is a 501c3 organization that evolved from our mission to benefit both the running and local communities. The CRC Charity Fund focuses its efforts on youth running participation through scholarships to the Grasshoppers Running Club and providing discounted race timing and logistics support to a small number of approved 501c3 races that have both the athlete and charity in mind. Come join us on May 24th, 2026 for the 5k Meowathon a benefit for Colony Cats! Race begins and ends on the multi-use paths west of the Dublin Community Recreation Center. All proceeds go to Colony Cats -- an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose primary mission is to address cat overpopulation in central Ohio through public awareness and spay/neuter efforts. Since 2002, their organization has facilitated spay/neuter of nearly 33,000 cats and dogs and placed more than 23,000 pets in homes. Through Colony Cats' humane, non-lethal programs, homeless cats can have the decent, healthy quality of life they deserve and better co-exist with their feline and human neighbors. This race is dedicated to the cherished memory of Jeremy Allan aka "Cat Dad".  This one is for you buddy.
