We will have shoe brands here at the store- arrive a few minutes early, learn about the awesome shoe updates,and try a pair for a spin. See you there!

Join Fleet Feet for a 1-3 mile fun run/walk from the store along the Dam Route. We will have have demo shoes, giveaways ,and post run/walk Bloody Marys and snacks. We are happy to have several shoe brands joining us with demos for this event. Arrive a few minutes early, learn about the awesome shoe updates and try a pair for a spin!

The Decatur Running Club is offering a Beginning Running Program starting Tuesday April 14th.  This is a FREE organized 8-week program targeting new (or returning after a long break) runners. DRC mentors can teach new runners how to build safely and slowly, and can outline a goal, such as finishing a 5K. The program will meet on Tuesday evenings at Fairview Park, Thursday evenings at Nelson Park, and Saturday mornings at Rock Springs Conservation Area.  You do not have to attend every run, but we encourage you to try to do two a week.  A Facebook group page will be the primary means of communication throughout the program, with reminders of location, what to expect, and what to bring, for example, water bottle, cooling towel, etc. Graduation race will be the Rock Springs Ramble on June 6th at the Rock Springs Conservation Area located at 3939 Nearing Ln Decatur. Run 2 Ramble participants who complete two thirds of the program will receive a $5 race registration discount to run the Rock

A Race for Everyone – No Training Required! Join us for the first annual VFW post 99.1 K fun run, a lighthearted “race” that’s only 0.1 km (about 328 feet) - Perfect for all ages and fitness levels! This family, friendly event is all about having fun, supporting veterans, and bringing the community together. Whether you walk, jog, skip, or stroll, we’ll cross the “finish line” with a smile – and help raise funds for programs that support veterans and their families through the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Home and local initiatives.    Come for the laughs, stay for the camaraderie, food, and festivities. Costumes, patriotic outfits, and a good sense of humor are highly encouraged!

The Decatur Running Club is sponsoring a timed 5k beginning at 8 a.m. on June 6th and a Kid's Ramble at 7:30 a.m. ages 10 and under.   The start/finish will take place at the east parking lot on the trail.  The paved course is an out and back.  Water station will be available along the course.   Proceeds are used to fund club events as well as supporting youth running programs in the Decatur area.   This race will be hand timed (NO BIB) by the Decatur Running Club. All participants receive a finisher medal and hand painted rock.  Age group awards for the 5K are 10 and under, then 5 year increments up to 75 and over.   Race T-shirts are available for additional purchase.  50/50 fabric. All participants in the Kid's Ramble will receive a finisher's award.   Post race party and award presentation follow race completion.  Race day registration will be available. Sorry, no refunds. The DRC Shoreline Classic is the premier Road Race in downstate Illinois. This event draws runners and spectators from across the state of Illinois. The race provides both a competitive and recreational event for athletes while promoting the value of living a healthy lifestyle. Both the USATF Certified 5K and 15K races are run along the shores of beautiful Lake Decatur in a colorful fall setting. The 5K race offers runners a fast course, while the 15K features a rolling terrain. The tot trots are a great way to involve our young runners while promoting Shoreline as a family event.

50th Annual Turkey Trot - Fairview Park Decatur, IL 9 a.m., November 22ndEnter the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, or 1/2 mile Turkey Tot Trot in Fairview Park! Tot Trot includes a T-shirt and participation prizes (ages 12 and Under). 5K, 10K, and Half races include computerized results and 3-deep awards per age group. Register by November 2 to guarantee long-sleeved shirt. No shirt orders will be made after this date. Late-Registrations can be submitted online at Runsignup.com until November 14. After November 14th you can only sign up at the pavilion the morning of the race. We are asking all Half Marathon runners to be competitive and are aiming to end all running by 12 noon.
