The FloDash Run / Walk Club formed in partnership with Dash Sports and The View, is a welcoming and all-paces community meetup designed to bring people together through movement. Whether you walk, jog, or run, this is a judgment-free space where consistency, connection, and showing up matter more than speed or distance. This is a social run / walk, not a race or coached workout. Participants move at their own pace, choose their own distance, and are encouraged to support one another along the way. Many meetups wrap up with a casual post-run hang at one of our local partners. In addition to movement, the FloDash Run / Walk Club often features special guests and community highlights, including Olympic teams, local professional athletes, doctors, and other health and wellness experts. Thanks to our partner Dash Sports, we also frequently host shoe demos, which may include—but are not limited to—Brooks, ASICS, HOKA, and Saucony, giving participants the opportunity to try different footwear

This year, our focus is on strengthening and impacting the Four Corners community by addressing critical needs such as mental health awareness, food insecurity, homelessness, and the urgent need for improved resources and services. This event is more than a fundraiser—it is a movement toward creating sustainable change, hope, and support for individuals and families in need. Costume Contest Enter the costume contest to win fun prizes and giveaways! The contest judging will take place before the race start. Winners will be announced after the race and must be present to win. You must wear your costume during the entire event to be eligible for prizes. The 2025 Costume categories are- Fastest Santa, Best Team/Group, Crowd Favorite, Most Electrifying, Most Creative Awards Super fun awards for each of the following categories: Top 3 Overall Male & Female winners, Male & Female Master, Top 3 age group winners (5-year increments). The racecourse begins on the Lake-Sumter State College South Lake campus, includes the challenge of the South Lake Trail via the Hancock Extension, and ends back on the Lake-Sumter campus with green beer to celebrate your victory. This will be a fun event for the entire family.  All registered participants will receive a t-shirt and medal. * Runners will be timed with prizes awarded to the top three finishers in each race by gender. All proceeds from the Shamrock Shuffle benefit the LSSC Foundation, which supports scholarships and education at Lake-Sumter State College.
