Lace up your running shoes and join us for the Adventure Awaits 5K and Fun Run on April 18th at the UTC Sports Complex! This family-friendly event invites runners, walkers, and adventurers of all ages to come together for a meaningful cause. All proceeds from the race benefit the Mocs Adventure Camp Scholarship Fund, helping provide kids with the opportunity to attend summer camp, where they can adventure, build confidence, make lifelong friendships, and create unforgettable memories. Whether you’re racing for a personal best, enjoying a fun run with friends and family, or cheering from the sidelines, your participation helps open the door to adventure for kids in our community. Come run, have fun, and help send kids to camp, because adventure should be for everyone!  Choose between a fun 5k through campus or a kid-friendly fun run at the sports complex. Enjoy local food trucks, games, and other outdoor activities on the field while you wait for your 5k finisher.

It's low key. It's like a group run, but with swag. There's cowbells and music and camaraderie and great scenery! You can run, walk, skip, you can do it in sneakers or in sandals or in no shoes at all. This is a completely judgment free zone, and we're in it to have a good time! Please read ALL information before signing up so you know what you're getting yourself into! This is NOT a typical race!The course is mostly flat, some small inclines/declines, on a paved path that meanders by the Tennessee River, behind the campus of Chattanooga State to the Chickamauga Dam, with restrooms with toilets that flush and sinks with running water and soap. You're reading that right! Exactly ZERO port-o-potties at this race. It's almost bougie! Our toilet paper isn't quilted though, so it's really just kind of bougie-adjacent. You will pass the start/finish/aid station area multiple times throughout the race. So what is Scenic City Cyclo and why? This ride explores all the reasons Chattanooga earned the nickname Scenic City.  From the picturesque views of the river to the majestic peaks and rolling hills. You will be transported through Chattanooga in a whole new way. We came up with the name because you would crazy not to do this ride.  Get it Cyclo and psycho!!!  All joking aside, we are crazy for Chattanooga and could not bear the thought of there not being an epic road ride in May. So we have created Scenic City Cyclo to continue traditions of awesome cycling experiences in Tennessee. We want to hear form you on all your thoughts on what makes riding here special? Join us to help benefit tracheostomy families in the southeast Tennessee region. The funds raised from this race will allow us the ability to pour into local trach and vent dependent families. Come out to run and walk for fun, beat your personal best in a 5K, or join our families and children for a fun mile. Your entry will include a t-shirt, post race gift and snacks. NEW this year is a KIDS ZONE!! Here we will have face painting, sensory games, bubbles, inflatable, and crafts for $10. What's better than running by yourself? Running with a bunch of crazy fun people, that's what! Spend your Saturday morning running or walking along the beautiful Tennessee River, with a bunch of the funnest people you've ever met. Available distances are 5K, 10K, and half marathon.Other important stuff:- Due to limited parking and space, prices will increase as the race fills up. There IS a cap. - There are toilets that flush and sinks with running water and soap.- This is a running and walking event that is MUCH more about camaraderie and fun, not competition. What's a trash panda? It's a fun term for a raccoon...because they sort of look like giant pandas (in their coloring) and they sort of look like red pandas (which sort of look like raccoons) and also, they like to dig through the trash. Swimmer Registration opens April 7, 2026 at Noon ET!   Swim the Suck (STS) is a 10-mile open-water race through the scenic Tennessee River Gorge in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Founded in 2010, the event attracts swimmers from across the U.S. and abroad for a unique adventure blending competition, community, and natural beauty. STS 2026 will occur Saturday, October 3rd with a 9:30am start at the Suck Creek Boat Launch. It is hosted by the Chattanooga Open Water Swimmers (C.O.W.S.) and dual-sanctioned by US Masters Swimming and USA Swimming. Participants can complete the 10 mile swim solo (limit of 125 USMS swimmers and 10 USA swimmers) or register as a relay team of 2 swimmers (new this year with a limit of 10 relays total). All swimmers over 18 must have a current USMS or USA membership or purchase a USMS single day event membership. Swimmers 14-17 must be current USA Swimming members. Chattajack is set apart from similar races by its length. Its distance calls for athletes who have committed to their training and to their pursuit of endurance.
