The James Island Connector Run (JICR) provides one of the most scenic race routes in the Southeast and one of the most challenging courses in the Lowcountry! Overlooking the beautiful Ashley River and the historic downtown peninsula of Charleston, this 8K Run, 5K Run, and 5K Walk starts and finishes on the James Island Connector from the James Island side of the river, staying on the connector with no exit ramps. The post-race festival includes a finishers medal and food at the finish line. The Turkey Day Run’s mission is to raise money for local charities. The Turkey Day Run & Gobble Wobble is a premiere charity event that has a direct and meaningful impact in the lives of families throughout the Charleston metropolitan area. A family tradition for 49 years, The Turkey Day Race brings together the community in a safe and family fun atmosphere. Our 15th Annual Drumstick Dash 5K starts on Thanksgiving morning, November 26th, 2026 at 9AM. Registration includes a Race T-Shirt up until Monday, November 9th at 11:59PM. Half-Moon Outfitters Reindeer Run, presented by The Charleston Place, is a family-oriented, pet-friendly 5k run/walk located in downtown Charleston, SC. This year we celebrate our 35th year of the annual race! The event has grown significantly over the years; from only a few hundred participants to record attendance of over 3,500 runners.  The funds generated from the Reindeer Run benefits the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital located in downtown Charleston. Start off 2027 on the right foot with a 5K at Charles Towne Landing State Park. As you run or walk, enjoy the spectacular river, marsh views, and majestic oaks. Our course is a beautiful place to reflect on the past year and set goals for 2027. After the 5K, we'll have soup, cornbread, and traditional Hoppin' John (vegetarian options included) indoors, where you can make memories with your family as well as new and old friends. We will be recycling shirts and awards from various local events, and awards are five-year age groups, five places deep. We know getting up on New Year's Day can be tough, so pajamas are welcome! Welcome to the 17th running of the Frozen Sasquatch trail race. The race consist of two distances, 25k and 50k, both starting at 8:00am. The course is a 15.8 mile loop (50k runners do two loops) and will take place on some of the best trails in Kanawha State Forest. Come start the year right with your first trail race of the year. Keep your eye out for sasquatch lurking in the woods.
