River Road Marathon & Half Marathon

Come run the scenic gravel roads along the Gallatin River on the outskirts of Bozeman Montana. This course over looks the Gallatin Mountain range heading south towards Yellowstone National Park.  There will be a half marathon, 13.2 and marathon course, 26.2 marked with pink flags. This out and back course has 295ft of gain for the half marathon and 590ft of gain for the marathon.  Three aid stations along the route providing snacks and drinks to keep you fueled.  There will be prizes for male and female 1st, 2nd & 3rd. Sponsored by Skechers, Bell South Racing & Bozeman Brewing. There is a recommended donation of $20 for the Marathon and $10 for the Half Marathon River Road Course

A Plogging event on Global Running Dayat Bozeman Running Company - Register by June 2nd! When: Wednesday, June 3rd at 6:00 PM Where: Bozeman Running Company (132 E Main St) Event Details: "Plogging" is jogging while picking up litter. Starting at BRC, there will be various routes mapped out to help cover north, south, east and west of downtown. When you register, please select how many miles you prefer to run (1 to 6 miles). We'll group into teams before the run, based on your desired mileage. Gloves, trash and recycling bags will be provided. Pick up any litter you find along your run, and bring it all back to BRC upon finishing. Celebrate post-plog with a Mountain Berry Bowl. Jim Bridger Trail Run

A classic race in a classic place. Join us for the 33rd annual Jim Bridger Trail Run (10 miles) or the 5k fun run in beautiful Bozeman, Montana.  10-MILE  JIM BRIDGER TRAIL RUN: 8 a.m. start Saturday July 18, 2026. Features 2,838 feet of elevation gain through the beautiful foothills of the Bridger mountains. The course features a scenic loop starting near Sypes Canyon trailhead and continuing across private property only accessible on race day. Great climbs follow as you head up Middle Cottonwood with a water crossing, then continue across the Bridgers and back down Sypes Canyon. 5KM FUN RUN: 8:30 a.m. Saturday July 18, 2026. Not feeling up to the 10 mile trail run? The 5k race and fun is a dirt road lollipop through the neighborhood that finishes at the BBQ and beer festivities. Headwaters Relay 2026

The Headwaters Relay is a 3 day, team run, team-supported, adventure race that goes through the backcountry of Montana. There are no aid stations. The exchange points are not marked and are found by following written leg descriptions. Legs very in difficulty and terrain, and range from 1 to 6 miles. Each day has a definitive start and end point, and overall team time is a compilation of cumulative time from all legs. Runners do not run through the night. Every team runner must run a minimum of one leg per day. ​ Due to Forest Service permits, we are limited to a field of 26 teams, with preference given to teams that ran the previous year. The Sweet Pea Run

The Sweet Pea Run 5K/10K is a great community event hosted by the Big Sky Wind Drinkers and is one of the oldest running races in Bozeman. It's held the weekend of the Sweet Pea Festival of the Arts as a liaison event. This is a fun, family event as well as a competitive running race offering cash prizes. Thanks to our special sponsors, The Billings Clinic and members of the Big Sky Wind Drinkers Running Club, this race will be FREE this year for kids 15 and under! The Sweet Pea Run also gives free entries to groups like the Cancer Support Community Montana and is the Big Sky Wind Drinker's biggest fundraiser. Proceeds from the race fund scholarships to local high school athletes, support BSWD community fun runs, and are donated to THRIVE and the Bozeman Track Club.

Bridger Ridge Run

The Ed Anacker Bridger Ridge Run is a remote and aesthetic ~20 mile foot-race along the crest of the Bridger Mountains, near Bozeman in Southwest Montana.  It is a not-for-profit event enabled by about as many volunteers as participants.    The Bridger Ridge Run is put on & sponsored by the Big Sky Wind Drinkers, which is a premier running club for runners of all ages and abilities.  Some videos, photos, and history of this event can be found on this Big Sky Wind Drinkers webpage.   Remote and Technical! Essentially the entire route involves unstable footing, challenging ascents, brutal descents, and unpredictable weather along an exposed ridge.  Experience with mountain running is important.     No part of the route can be accessed by a road.  All supplies, including water, are hauled to Aid Stations through human volunteering.  Aid Stations will carefully track each participant's progress, and will have limited medical teams, supplies, and snacks.  Except for water, we expect
