Run For A Reason : Child Abuse Awareness 5k

Come out and join us for a family-friendly event to raise awareness of child abuse. Participants are welcome to walk/run the course and enjoy the fun activities that will be set up at the Pocket Park (325 E. Main St.) Awards: We will have prizes for the top 3 male and female finishers.  Post-Race: We will have snacks, 1st Phorm Supplements, Madi & Addi's shaved ice and waters available.  —Proceeds will be awarded to Foster Your Community, a non-profit organization serving local foster children since 2019. —Sign in and race packets will be ready at 7:30 am at the pocket park & the race will begin at 9am.  **Sign up before March 23rd to guarantee a T-shirt!

Autism Awareness 5k Run/Walk

PATH ABA is hosting Batesville’s 4th Annual Autism Awareness Walk! All proceeds go towards funding community events, school scholarships and communication devices for children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum.   Race day check-in and registration starts at 8:30am at Liberty Park.   Register by April 8 to ensure you get a t-shirt with your entry. Batesville 10K

Batesville, VA
The Batesville Day 10K Race began in 1979 and winds through beautiful Virginia hills and orchards on paved roads. Awards are given to the top finishers. All runners receive a 2026 Batesville Day T-shirt or Batesville gift. Join us for "the only 10K race in Virginia that starts and ends in the same place and is all uphill." Stick around for Batesville Day festivities after the race! The infamous Batesville Day Parade, followed by live music, cake walks, and community fun! Packet Pick up and Day of Registration: May 2, 2026. 7 am-7:45 am.  Page's Field (at the corner of Plank and Craigs Store Road). Registration onsite on the day of the race will be $45. Cash or check ONLY for day of registration (or Venmo).   The course was very slightly changed in 2023.  The race will now begin from Page's Field in the heart of Batesville.

Andy Buschmann 4-Mile Classic

Batesville, AR
The 48th Annual Classic Formerly the White River 4 Mile Classic and HealthSouth 4 Mile Classic, this race is now named for Andy Buschmann, the local running man seen everywhere about town trotting out the miles in his steady gait. He and his buddy Jack Heston ran every version of the race since its founding in 1978 until COVID took Andy from us in 2021. The AB4MC course is USATF certified. Proceeds from the race are donated to local charities serving Independence County.   Parking:There is ample parking at City Hall and in parking lots throughout the Main Street area.  Start/Finish: The race will begin at 8 am. The race starts and finishes on Main Street with parking and setup near City Hall.   Timing:Chip timing will be by OK Timing Plus Race Route: The route runs downhill through Batesville's historic residential and downtown districts, with a couple of substantial climbs through nearby neighborhoods mid-race.  Packet Pick Up: Early packet pickup will be in the parking lot at 500

Four on the Fourth

Every Sole Counts is a newly created organization whose mission is to empower Athletes with Special Needs by providing access to high-qualityrunning gear that meets their individual needs. Easy, mostly flat asphalt course utilizing Batesville Parks paved trail system.  The race kicks off at Liberty Park, winds through The Plex and Bill Gillespie Soccer Park toward the YMCA, passes back by Liberty Park, continues through the scenic Brum Woods, and finishes right where it started at Liberty Park. We are hosting a 50/50 split the pot raffle with proceeds benefiting Every Sole Counts. We encourage everyone to dress patriotically in celebration of America's 250 years!

The Bulldog Chase is a flat, fast out and back 5K course.  This is the last race in the series of the 5 races for the SIRC. There will be many door prizes and the final standings of the SIRC race series will be announced at the awards program upon completion of the Bulldog Chase.

White River H2GoRun!

START TIME CHANGE: The Community Center is booked for an indoor event with doors opening at 9, so our race will start at 7:30 so that we can have the area cleared. We think you'll appreciate the extra half hour of cooler air as well. Join us for the annual White River H2GO 2 Miler Fun Run in Batesville, AR! Participants will enjoy a great out-and-back 2-mile route.  We can only guarantee specific sizes in race shirts to those registered by August 15.   PACKET PICKUP - Friday, August 22nd 5-7pm at the Batesville Community Center, 1420 20th Street. RACE DAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE! Top 3 Overall Female and Male Runner Awards / Top 3 Overall Female and Male Walker Awards plus age group awards. Hope for the Holiday Half Marathon and 5k in Memory of Garrett Yeager

The race is being held to honor the memory of Garrett Yeager beloved friend, son, brother and father. All proceeds will be donated in his memory to New Hope Refuge. New Hope Refuge is a faith based and Christ centered program for women who are struggling with substance abuse issues.  The race course you get a little bit of everything. Starting out in the beautiful Eagle Mountain neighborhood for the 5k. The half marathon will continue over to the beautiful campus of Lyon College, once at Lyon you will jump on the 3/4 mile trail section of the course, upon exiting the trail you will run the country roads leading back to the main highway to work your way back to Eagle Mountain. Each participant will receive a finishers medal and race hoodie. Race registration will cut off on November 29th to be guaranteed a hoodie.  Packet pickup will be race morning starting at 630 until 7:45.
