Retriever 5k Dawg Chase and Fun Run

Whether you’re in it for some friendly competition or would rather stick with a group, this event’s emphasis is on camaraderie, bringing together all paces and styles. The 5k or 1 mile routes start and end at the Albin O. Kuhn Library. The 1 mile route will be leisurely and casually paced (pet and family friendly). Check-in time begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race/walk is at 8:30 a.m. Entry Fees: $20 for faculty, staff, alumni, and friends aged 17+ (anyone under 17 must be accompanied and registered by an adult)$5 for current UMBC students$50 for a family pack option (includes up to two adults 18 and over and any number of children) $25 race day fee for non-students, $10 for students, and $60 for a family pack (pending space)Event is limited to 250 participants VISIT https://homecoming.umbc.edu/ to register and get more information.

Celtic Solstice Five-Miler

End the year with one of Baltimore's most Iconic races.  The Celtic Solstice is back for its 25th year in Druid Hill Park.  The unique 5 mile route takes place entirely within the confines of scenic Druid Hill Park.   This run has a reputation as a race by runners for runners.  Race volunteers come from the various running groups around Baltimore.  The post-race party features hot soup, hot Wassail Wine, hot coffee and hot chocolate, bagpipes, Irish Wolfhounds, and plenty of Holiday cheer!
