Join us for the 2nd Annual Excel Eagle Trot Family Fun Run! We’re bringing the entire Excel community together—students, parents, guardians, alumni, families, and friends—for a morning filled with fun, movement, and Eagle pride! Last year, the Eagle Trot helped fund important campus security improvements. This year, we’re setting our sights even higher with a $16,000 fundraising goal to purchase a new sound system for our gym. Every step and every dollar makes a difference. With 100% of proceeds going directly to the PTO, your participation helps create lasting improvements for our school community. With our amazing Excel community behind us, we know we can soar past our goal! Come run, walk, cheer, and celebrate with us—and help make this year’s Eagle Trot our best one yet!

Join us for the annual Leyden Rock Turkey Trot 5K on November 14th at 9 AM, where fun and community come together!  As always, we’re committed to giving back. We’ll be collecting non-perishable food donations to benefit Community Table, and you can also make a monetary donation directly through our registration website.  We have even more prizes this year, including awards for school-aged runners who place in the 5K, 1st place dog winner, and best-dressed individual and group. This is not your run of the mill 'Turkey Trot.'  This is the Turkey TREK!  Are you up for the challenge?  Run a steady uphill climb to the summit of the course at the 3 mile mark.  Poised at the top of the hill is the infamous EGG NOG CHUG Challenge where racers (have the option) to chug 5 oz of eggnog.  (Those who 'chug' are entered to win a new pair of shoes!) It's windy and wild at the top and the limitless views are UNMATCHED.  Run the ridge for a mile before starting the more gradual, yet still winding, descent down the east side of the mesa.  Once down the hill, racers encounter a relatively flat straight-away peppered with HAY BALES for the hay bale hop challenge.  Continuing the clock-wise loop back into the park, runners find the final challenge - just one kilometer from the finish: Fill Your Pie Hole Challenge.  A fresh portion of holiday pumpkin pie awaits racers there.  Once the pie is 'down the hatch', the joy of the finish line isn't far aw

The Resolute Runner 5K is the KICK OFF PARTY OF THE YEAR! It's time to be RESOLUTE, to retroactively earn your pumpkin pie and chocolate truffles, and to start the new year on the right foot, literally! The course starts at Johnny Roberts Memorial Park in Arvada, CO, and winds through the beautiful Ralston Creek Trail. It really is quite a scenic race! As you run, all of your fans will be able to see you from the start line, then walk less than 1/3 of a mile to see you at two different points before cheering on your finish. This is a very spectator friendly venue and a great way to kick off the New Year! Join us for the 14th annual Polar Prowl at the Stenger Sports Complex in Arvada, CO! As the first Denver-area half marathon of the year, this event features 5K, 10K, and half marathon courses that meander along the Van Bibber Creek Trail, offering breathtaking views of Arvada's open spaces and Table Mountain. Because the courses are relatively flat, it is the perfect opportunity to chase a personal record or secure a qualifying time for the BOLDERBoulder. We are proud to support Penguins International with this event, and we invite you to join our penguin costume contest. The layout is incredibly spectator-friendly, featuring a viewing area just a short walk from the venue where fans can cheer on half marathoners three times and 5K or 10K athletes once before they hit the finish line.

Starting from the amazing Colorado Tap House in Arvada, you can choose your challenge: relatively gentle 5K and 10K courses, or a more challenging half marathon course. The Ralston Creek races feature a fun winter half-marathon and 5K run conveniently located on the west side of the Denver Metro Area in Arvada, Colorado. The courses cover a scenic mix of road and bike path over rolling terrain, and an optional early start time for half-marathon runners who expect to take more than 2 hours 45 minutes to complete the course! Half-Marathon entry is limited to the first 650 registrations. 5K registration is limited to the first 350 entries. Once a distance has filled, we cannot accept any additional entries for that distance. Your entry fee includes entry into the race, a finisher's medal (for half-marathon runners who complete the course), FREE race photo downloads, fun music, hot cocoa and tasty quesadillas fresh off the grill!!!
