Join us for our Fall 2026 Momentum Series. The first event of our series will be our Charitable 5K Walk/Run; a seasonable charity event used to raise mental health awareness. This event will be held on Sunday, November 1st. Our goal is to also nourish the mind and spirit, maintain good cardiovascular health and network with other people in the community. At the conclusion of our the walk/run, our yoga/wind down session will be hosted by Lundon Sweetney. 5K Walk/Run Start Time: 8:30-9:30 AM Yoga Session w/ Lundon Start Time: 9:30-10:30 AM Feel free to bring: A yoga mat and any other props if you have (blankets, blocks, bolsters) a water bottle, and journal if you like for closing reflections. Wear comfortable clothing. These events are hybrid (On-Site and Virtual): Onsite Participants Race Day Check-In: - The walk/run will begin promptly at 8:30 AM. Check-in begins at 8:15 AM. Please allow extra time for check-in, event introduction, and pre-race warmups. - Water and a snack will be provided and distributed to all participants prior to the event. - The trail will be explained at the beginning of the run. Virtual Participants Race Day(s) Check-In: You're now able to participate from wherever you are! Steps below: 1. Register through the RunSignUp link. 2. Download an app to track your walk/run time (Some good running apps to consider downloading are: Nike+ Run Club, Runkeeper, MapMyRun, Adidas Running, etc.) 3. Virtual participants must complete their run and submit their times to the link we sent you during registration sometime during the race day. As long as you run at some point throughout the day, your participation will be counted. 4. Afterward, your time will be displayed on the list of other times submitted by other participants. The times will be sent through the follow up email that will be sent out within 48 hours after the event. 5. Be sure to include a picture and/or video of you running or finishing your run and post it on your social profiles or stories! The Eagle 5000 Turkey Trot is a new race that puts a twist on the traditional Thanksgiving turkey trot. Entrants will run a full 5k on the track with athletes racing in heats based on their predicted finishing times. This event will be held on November 21st, 2026 on the track at Thomas Edison High School in Alexandria, VA. The race is in-person, rain or shine.   This event is all about bringing our community together to help raise money for the Thomas Edison Cross Country and Track and Field programs. The charity tirelessly continues to honor and support our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. Saturday, March 6, 2027 · Jones Point Park, Alexandria, VA Race in the morning, parade in the afternoon. All three distances start and finish at Jones Point Park, under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, and run out and back on the paved Mount Vernon Trail along the Potomac. The course is flat and fast, with the river beside you most of the way, and there are no road closures and no traffic to cross. Finish, collect your medal, and walk about a mile north into Old Town for the Alexandria St. Patrick's Day Parade, which steps off at noon. Bring your family and make a day of it. Every runner is tracked live on Geo.Racing, so your people can wait in Old Town and know exactly when to head down to the finish. Start times: Half marathon at 8:00 AM, 10K at 8:30 AM, 5K at 9:00 AM. Packet pickup opens at 7:00 AM at the park. The starts are staggered so every distance finishes well before the parade. Every entry includes: a race shirt, a finisher medal, chip timing and results, aid stations on the trail, and live tracking. Awards go to the top three men and women at each distance. Good to know: walkers are welcome at every distance; half marathon walkers should plan to finish by 3:00 PM. Parking at Jones Point Park is limited and Old Town fills up early on parade day, so carpool or come by bike. The trail stays open to others, so keep right and pass on the left. The Lauren Vaughn Memorial Foundation will host the LV5K walk/run on April 04, 2026, at the Alexandria Senior High School football field. The 2026 PNC Alexandria Half is happening in Old Town Alexandria on April 26th! The event includes a Half Marathon, 5K and the Kids Dash.
