Welcome Back Runners!! This is the 14th Running!!! The Sorry 'Bout That 1/2 Marathon and Team Relay is back for 2027.  Hopefully it will be above freezing this year on race day, but not by much.  The course will be clockwise this year, meaning a uphill start start and uphilll finish, with the large downhill in the middle miles. Two aide stations and one portajohn will be on the course. Clockwise means it goes the direction of an old clock with hands. All turns on the course are to the right except for one.  Free Finisher Medals with entry and finish. If you enter the race and don't run you will not get a medal This year T shirts are extra cost. I have been informed by the accountants that the race can not afford to keep losing money every year. Race the lucky hare along the Great Northern Trail system, from Kila to Kalispell Montana in celebration of St. Patrick's Day weekend 🍀 One lucky winner will take home the "one big pot of gold" giveaway! 🌈💰 The Half Marathon race begins at the Smith Lake fishing access in Kila and finishes on 1st Ave in downtown Kalispell. Runners will meet on 1st Ave race morning to ride the mandatory bus shuttle to the start line. A 4-time winner of the Road Runners Club of America Marathon State Championship designation, the Whitefish Marathon has become one of the largest marathons in Montana.  Over 1,600 runners registered are expected in 2026. 6 HOUR STRICT TIME LIMIT.  The Wicked Fast Marathon and Half Marathon in Montana, located in Livingston (also known as Yellowstone Country), is a USATF-sanctioned course that qualifies for the Boston Marathon. The marathon features a total net elevation drop of 1200 feet from the start to the finish.

Race fast courses nestled in Gallatin Valley, showcased by panoramic Montana mountain ranges. Start in the southern foothills and finish on historic Main Street, racing all downhill.
