FTA Legacy 5K

Marietta, GA
Join us for our 1st annual Legacy 5K in honor of the late Pastor Frederick T. Anderson. Pastor Anderson is the founding pastor of Covenant Christian Ministries and a leader in Marietta for over 30 years. He and his wife ran a private school, Covenant Christian Ministries Academy, in Marietta for 25 years, which matriculated numerous students who were not only native to Georgia but came from various parts of the world. Since 2016 the church has been meeting at various locations Cobb Galleria, McEachern Auditorium, The Mansour Center, but we settled at Smitha Middle School in 2019. It was Pastor Anderson's goal to build a permanent home for Covenant Christian Ministries, and all proceeds from the 5K will go toward making that vision a reality. The 5K course is a look back at our church history and the various places we called home in Marietta. Pastor Anderson transitioned to his heavenly home on January 19, 2025. Sims Vickers Memorial Let It Shine 5K

Columbus, GA
RACE DAY SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM - On-Site Registration and Check-In Opens 8:30AM - Opening Ceremony 9:00AM - 5K START 10:00AM - General Awards Presentation Our why: If there were ever a person who symbolized light, Sims Vickers was it. He was so kind, caring, outgoing, and fun. Sims’ life ended much too soon on March 27, 2022. After raising over $25,000 for local, caregiving non-profits the past two years, we’re ready to run the Let It Shine 5K again. This event is our attempt to continue spreading light with a world that needs it. This year, our attention has turned to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Piedmont Columbus Regional – Midtown. It is the only NICU in our region – a Level III, 46-bed NICU – helping babies with health complications to have a fighting chance to thrive. Almost everyone has been touched by or known a family that needed the care a NICU, our local NICU, provides. It is our hope to grow the breadth of care they offer. In our quest to support the NICU, we are specifically supporting the NICU Fund and the NICU Bereavement Fund of the Piedmont Foundation. The NICU fund, itself, provides for the needs of the babies, their families, and the staff while they are in the hospital. The NICU Bereavement Fund assists with end of life care for families who experience such a difficult end to their NICU journey. Your donation will shine a light for real patients and their families, helping them through an incredibly difficult time in their lives. Thank you for joining us in this important work! Strides for Students 5k Fun Run

Ball Ground, GA
Strides for Students Fun Run Hosted by Driven to Encourage Ministries Join us for the Strides for Students Fun Run, a morning of fun, community, and purpose as we come together to support the mission of Driven to Encourage Ministries! Strides for Students is more than a fun run — every stride helps us reach students with the hope of Jesus. Driven to Encourage Ministries exists to go directly into our local public schools and meet students right where they are. Through school clubs, Bible studies, student outreach, encouragement, mentorship, and the distribution of Bibles, our team has the incredible opportunity to consistently invest in the next generation and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the years, more than 60,000 students have been reached, over 5,000 documented salvations have taken place, and more than 40,000 Bibles have been placed into the hands of students. We praise God for every number because behind each one is a student with a name, a story, and a life that matters. Strides for Students helps make that ministry possible. Funds raised through this event help Driven to Encourage continue showing up for students throughout the school year — providing Bibles and resources, supporting school outreach programs, and creating opportunities for students to hear the Gospel and be encouraged in their faith. What to Expect This is a FUN run, so you don't have to be an experienced runner to participate! Run it, jog it, walk it, bring your family, invite your friends, and come enjoy a great morning together. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Whether you're crossing the finish line in record time or enjoying every step with your family, you're helping us make an eternal impact in the lives of students. 📅 Saturday, October 24, 2026 ⏰ Fun Run begins at 8:00 AM 📍 Ball Ground, Georgia Come run with purpose. Come support our students. Come be part of what God is doing in the next generation. Every stride has a purpose. Every student matters. We can't wait to see you at Strides for Students!

SayStrong 5K

Ellijay, GA
This year, we're celebrating Saydee's love for Halloween with an event packed with spooky thrills, family fun, yummy food and delicious treats! We have so many exciting activities we are working on! We will have our AMAZING DJ Terry once again this year, and we have lots of yummy food trucks and treats lined up! Bring your own chair and stay for some great music, food, trick or treating, and yard games! And YES! We will absolutely be having a costume contest! So come in your best costume! Bonus points for creativity of course! We are SO excited to share that this year, the race will be officially timed! There is a spot for everyone at the race! We will have a 5K run, a 1 mile fun run, a Tot Trot for the littles, and if none of that sounds fun (is running fun?!) this year we have a ghost runner option!! You'll get all the perks of the race, without having to run or even needing to be there in person! We hope you can join us for a day of unforgettable memories as we honor Saydee, celebrate her love for Halloween, and enjoy time together with our community. We can't wait to see you there! Race proceeds will go to a very special cause to our hearts. SayStrong Foundation is adopting a room permanently at the Ronald McDonald House Atlanta. The expenses involved in having a child in the hospital are countless, but this will give families who have children with medical needs a place to stay while their child is in the hospital.
