US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Please plan for the weather, bring anything you may want between laps, and check in with race staff if you need help. View Race Course, Results, and Race Information on the US Road Running race page.

Ugly Pajama 5K Run

Johns Creek, GA
Welcome to the Ugly Pajama 5K—the only race where the crazier the pajamas, the better! Today, we’re celebrating cozy chaos, bold patterns, fuzzy slippers, and everything fabulously mismatched. Whether you’re rocking reindeer onesies, plaid PJs, or sleepwear so questionable it should probably stay indoors… you’re in the perfect place. This event brings together runners, walkers, families, and pajama enthusiasts of all kinds for a lighthearted, laughter-filled 5K. So zip up, tie those robe belts tight, and get ready to strut your stuff on the course. Comfort meets competition as we kick off this fun, spirited run—where style points are definitely awarded for ridiculousness. We are running on Johns Creek Pkwy in Johns Creek, GA starting at 9:00 am. There will be a finisher medal for everyone and a great race-themed shirt. We’ll also be presenting overall and age-group awards in the usual 5-year categories starting at 10 & under, giving runners of all ages a chance to shine. Let’s embrace the silly, stay warm, and make some unforgettable (and very fashion-challenged) memories. Welcome to the Ugly Pajama 5K—let’s pajama-party our way to the finish line!

Viking 5K, 10K, & 13.1M at Athens, GA (04)

Athens, GA
Information US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting.

Run Walk to Remember 5K / 10K / Fun Run

Lavonia, GA
This great 5K/10K/ Fun Run benefits PruittCares - Camp Cocoon, which is a bereavement camp for children ages 6-17. The camp offers the children a safe environment to talk about their loved ones, ask counselors and medical professionals any questions they may have or just to let loose and enjoy the normal summer camp activities. Our hope is that this event can provide that same opportunity to adults in the community; a chance to wear something to honor a loved one that has passed away, talk to others who might have gone through similar experiences or just a chance to get together with friends and neighbors to compete on fast course, set a new PR or just to run or walk to raise money for good cause. All proceeds will go to offsetting the cost of the camp and sponsoring children to attend Camp Cocoon at no cost.

Medal Madness 5K, 10K, & 13.1M at Athens, GA (07)

Athens, GA
Information US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting.

Piedmont Goes Red 5K

Demorest, GA
Help us celebrate the 28th anniversary of the R.H. Daniel School of Nursing by going Red with us for American Heart Month. We are using this race to begin a Nursing Student Success Fund. The Nursing Student Success Fund will help nursing students cover the necessary costs of completing their program. With your support, nursing students can focus on their education, knowing they have the resources they need to excel in their training and their future careers. With the growing shortage of nurses, Piedmont wants to promote nurses and recruit future Healthcare Professionals to continue to support our community. Come run with us and see the beauty of all that Piedmont University has to offer! Please reach out to hbarnett@piedmont.edu with any questions or for more information.
