This Better Boro Project sanctioned event will be electronically-timed, and every finisher will receive a medal. There are awards for overall winners as well as age group winners in the male and female categories. The American Cancer Society proudly presents the 9th annual February Freeze 5K Timed Run and 1 Mile Walk on the Holiday Lighted River Walk in Pigeon Forge. Come join the fun and excitement of the February Freeze 5K Run and Walk! The race begins at the Island in Pigeon Forge, TN and travels along the RiverWalk and holiday Winterfest lights. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Where and When - The February Freeze 5K Run/Walk begins at 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2027 in Pigeon Forge, TN with registration from 4:00 PM-5:45 PM. Cost and Cause - The cost of pre-registration is $25 for adults and $20 for Students K-12. Race day registration is $5 more for each. All money raised goes to the Sevier County Relay for Life which benefits the American Cancer Society. A great cause! Registration - Runners/Walkers can register for the February Freeze 5K by - Online: Register for the race online at runsignup.com. - Race Day Registration: Runners/Walkers can register the day of the race from 4:00 - 5:45 at the registration at the Margaritaville Hotel. (Day of is not guaranteed a shirt and bag) Results - Race results will be available via the Terra Running Company. Financial: It is not financially feasible for February Freeze to accept the risk of a disaster for everyone. Each registered participant needs to accept the risk of his or her entry fee. February Freeze does not save any money if one of our events has to be canceled for reasons beyond our control. Join us for the 2027 Cummins Falls Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K! ***** NOTE: Registration closes at 3:00 p.m. CST on Friday, February 26, 2027!! ***** These four races are very scenic, with the marathon, half-marathon, and 10K routes following the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River for a good portion of the route. The three longer-distance races are very challenging, with steep hills and great scenery. All four routes are run on the picturesque rural back roads of Jackson County, Tennessee, and are sure to be enjoyed by traditional marathon runners and trail runners alike. We will be offering a discount for 5K and 10K teams of five that register together, as well as Half and Full Marathon teams of three. Grab a few friends and sign up for the race as a team and receive $5 (5K and 10K) - $10 (Half and Full Marathon) off your registration! The first four (5K and 10K) or first two (half and full) will pay the full registration price; once the fifth (5K and 10K) or third (half and full) runners register, a refund to the first registrants will be made automatically. There is a "no shirt" option for those who don't want a shirt, but would rather the cost of the shirt be added to the proceeds of the race to benefit the park. If your size is not available, either choose another size or choose the "no shirt" option. The church is at the corner of N. Washington and 7th St.; entry to the parking lot is off of 7th St. This will be a drive-up event. Signs will point you to the correct entrance and you will be guided to the rear of the church where someone will ask for your name and which race you're running, then bring your bag to you in your car. Packet pickup on Saturday, Feb. 27, will be at the park from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. CST for marathon and half marathon runners and from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. for 5K and 10K runners. The Joey Run was created in memory of Joey Gootee, a beloved son, brother, family member, and friend whose life was lost to an overdose more than 10 years ago. Joey’s death forever changed our family. Addiction takes so much. It takes lives, steals time, breaks hearts, and leaves families carrying a loss that never completely goes away. After experiencing that pain firsthand, we knew we wanted to do something that could help keep another individual and another family from experiencing the same thing. That is why the Joey Run exists. Each year, we come together not only to remember Joey, but to shine a light into the darkness that so often surrounds addiction. Addiction can carry shame, silence, and stigma, but we believe there is hope. Recovery is possible, lives can be changed, and no one should have to walk that road alone. Proceeds from the Joey Run support addiction recovery efforts, helping provide hope, resources, and opportunities for individuals working toward a life of recovery. But the Joey Run is about more than raising money. It’s about bringing our community together. It’s about remembering those we’ve lost, celebrating those who are fighting and those who are living in recovery, supporting the families who love them, and reminding people that there is always hope. The 13th Annual Gallatin Shamrock Run takes place in the heart of Historic Downtown Gallatin. The race begins at Gallatin City Hall and winds through beautiful downtown streets on a primarily flat course, making it ideal for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Participants may choose between a 5K or 10K. The 10K will run the 5K course twice and will have 90 minutes to complete the race. The 5K will be grouped by estimated completion time and must be completed within 60 minutes. All participants must complete the race by 9:00 AM. Participants are encouraged to wear their most creative St. Patrick’s Day attire and enjoy the festivities at the start and finish areas. Prizes will be awarded to male and female finishers after the race. Awards for Best St. Patrick’s Day Costume and Most Team Spirit will be presented before the race. About the Cause Proceeds from the race benefit the Gallatin Chamber Foundation, the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce’s 501(c)(3) organization. The event is on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 at 8am and includes a 5k/15k run as well as a 1-mile fun run. Both routes will take you through the scenic sights of Cedars of Lebanon State Park, Lebanon, TN. The 15k course includes surrounding rural roads certain to provide a memorable experience. There will be plenty of water stops provided.  We will be meeting at the parking area located at the top of WPA and Cedars Road. (See map). There will be live music, great food, and other local vendors ready to make this a memorable event. Check-in will begin at 6:30 am. This event is a fundraiser for Wilson County FCA. Death by 5k is returning to Memphis for year 5! RunStrong Event's signature 24 hour challenge, Death by 5k requires participants to run ten 5ks starting every 2.5 hours. The first 5k starts at 8 am, and subsequent 5ks start at 1030, 1, 330, 6, 830, 11, 130, 4, and 630 am. Participants need to be present at the start of each 5k, and have that 5k finished prior to the start of the subsequent 5k. This challenge is designed to test participants mentally and physically with physical fatigue, sleep deprivation, and running in the dark. (Headlamps, hand lights, or some other form of illumination will be required) Death by 5k Memphis will start and finish at the Tour de Wolf Pavilion at Shelby Farms, and will be run almost entirely on the Tour de Wolf trail.
