But the love, power and a sound mind you choose to live by can. You are called to live a life on purpose, for a purpose! Every step matters. Every person matters. Every team makes an impact. Donations are GLADLY ACCEPTED! Thank you for supporting Catholic schools. The Saint James XC program is a leader in grade school cross-country in the state of New Jersey. We promote safe and healthy outdoor activity that helps children become better athletes and even better people. The Almost Winter Classic was created in 2020 because so many athletes had a limited opportunity to access indoor sports during the COVID-19 pandemic. When XC ended, there was no place for many athletes to turn for winter sports. In response, the SJS XC Community created a 5K club for its athletes and parents who wanted to participate. Since 5K race options were limited, we decided to create an event that would give runners the opportunity to compete in a friendly way and help to build our running community. Saint James School was founded in 1965 and educates children Pre-K to 8th Grade. Shirts will be available for pickup at PVP on Race Day.

Veterans Day Freedom Run 5K/10K/13.1 PHILADELPHIA

Camden, NJ
Celebrate this Veterans Day with our annual Freedom Run! 🏃‍♂️💨 Kick off your weekend with purpose and pride by joining our 5K, 10K, or Half-Marathon. Whether you're running for a personal best or walking with friends and family, let's move together in deep gratitude for the brave Veterans who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedom. 🎖️🗽 You can raise funds for a charity of choice (Optional). 100% of the net funds raised will go towards your cause of choice. Forget the massive, impersonal race-day crowds. We keep things small, personal, and local, so every run feels less like a number and more like a memory. Whether it's a 5K, 10K, half-marathon, or virtual run, you'll get the warmth of a hometown event. Overview: Spots sell out FAST! We close each wave the moment it fills. Once a wave sells out, you can grab the virtual run option or join the waitlist. This is a smaller, private group run with a capped field per wave - so it never feels crowded, and you're never just a bib number. All paces and ages welcome (under 18 with a guardian) - run it, walk it, however you like! There's no gear, no setup, no fuss - just you, the course, and our coordinators cheering you on in a relaxed, stress-free setting. Rag Tag 5k

Red Bank, NJ
No frills. No hills. Just you, the track, and the clock. The Rag Tag 5K brings racing back to its simplest form: 12.5 laps on the track at Count Basie Field, at night, under the lights. No winding course, no tricky turns, no excuses. A precisely measured 5K built for one thing: running your best time. Never raced on a track? This is your chance. There's nothing quite like the energy of a night race: the lights overhead, the crowd lining the rail, and the lap-by-lap push to the finish. Whether you're chasing a PR, testing your fitness before winter, or just want to see what you can do on a fast surface, the Rag Tag 5K delivers an atmosphere you won't find at your typical road race. Low key in the best way. High energy where it counts. Grab your crew, lace up, and come run fast with us under the lights. Please note - timing will be manual (no F.A.T.). And places will be denoted using popsicle sticks. We did say Rag Tag after all... Powered by Nike and The Outpost Running & Walking Co.

7th Annual Survivor Day 5K

Island Heights, NJ
The 7th Annual Survivor Day 5K will take place on November 21, 2026 in person at 5 Wanamaker Municipal Complex, Island Heights, NJ 08732. Register by November 1st to ensure you get to pick your T-shirt size! After November 1st, we cannot guarantee your size. Survivor Day was designated by the U.S. Congress as a day when those affected by suicide can join together for healing and support. It was designated the Saturday before Thanksgiving, as the holidays are often a difficult time for suicide loss survivors. For the 7th year in a row we are asking all of our family and friends to come together in unity to run or walk a 5K in memory of Christian Schenk and in support of all those mourning his loss the week before his birthday. This year, we will also be honoring James “Jimmy” Fera. Jimmy was a man who wore many hats in his lifetime. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a valued Boiler Maker at Local 154, served in the Army Reserves, lived in San Diego for a little while, and then finally settled in Toms River, New Jersey with his beautiful wife for almost 25 years. Jimmy became “Mr. Mom”, his favorite title, and was a stay-at-home / part-time working dad to his two kids. Jimmy worked hard, but loved harder. He was the ultimate husband, brother, dad, uncle, cousin and friend to those in his life. He loved lifting weights, telling dad jokes, celebrating holidays with family, and he gave the best hugs. Jimmy was a huge teddy bear. He was fierce and he was strong with an unforgettable spirit. In 2018, at age 68, after being diagnosed with tinnitus post surgery, he ultimately lost his life to mental illness and suicide. His infectious smile, laughter, strength, and love live on in the hearts and memories of everyone who knew him. The anniversary of these deaths are stark reminders of the lasting effects that loss and grief have on surviving families as well as the importance of bringing communities together to support one another.
