The Pagosa Turkey Trot is a 5k Walk/Run starting at Yamaguchi Park at 10:00 am on November 26th. Come run and burn off some calories before you head to your Thanksgiving feast. This is a fun event for all fitness levels. Whether you are a competitive runner, a beginner, or just want something fun to do with the family before you eat, this is a great event for you. ENTRY FEES: $25 Online Registration - Closes Wednesday Nov. 25th 9pm. $30 Day Of Registration - CASH, CHECK or VENMO ONLY This is a fun run/ so it will not be a timed event. It is a self-timed event. Join Us for Our Inaugural 5K Run/Walk! Lace up and join us for our 5K Run/Walk, a fundraising event benefiting the Colorado Springs Amateur Hockey Association (CSAHA)! Enjoy a scenic out-and-back run along the beautiful Pikes Peak Greenway Trail, including a stretch alongside the Colorado College campus. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, a walker or simply want to support a great cause, we’d love to have you join us! Your participation will help provide opportunities for youth in our community to play hockey, build confidence, develop teamwork, and be part of something special. Jingle Jog is a fun run event to support Mountain Tots in raising money to build a new preschool facility. The event will include a Kid's Fun Run and 5K route options for participants. Starting in historic downtown, Jingle Jog will officially kick off the Christmas on Broadway festivities. Costumes are encouraged and we will have some swag on hand to help participants get into the holiday spirit. The Resolute Runner 5K is the KICK OFF PARTY OF THE YEAR! The course starts at Johnny Roberts Memorial Park in Arvada, CO, and winds through the beautiful Ralston Creek Trail. It really is quite a scenic race! Colorado's FUNNEST Winter Run!!!  The Yeti Chase 5K & 10K take place at beautiful Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood. This is the 16th year for the Yeti Chase, and it has sold out well before race day in all previous years. After chasing down the Yeti, runners wander the park's 2,500 acres, known for it's diverse bird and waterfowl population as well as stunning views of the foothills.  The 5k follows a mostly flat course with gradual ups and downs, while the 10k is a rolling course with more challenging hills. One of America’s most unique 5k races kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30th, 2027. This spectacular 5k race is conducted entirely on the frozen Rio Grande when conditions allow. Have you ever run on a frozen river? Don't fret; a thin layer of snow offers traction while you take in the majestic views of the San Juan’s to the West and Sangre de Cristo’s to the East from the heart of the San Luis Valley! Runner's World Magazine named this race one of three "editor's picks" for running enthusiasts for 2015. Chip timing and unique “ice-themed” awards enhance this special race for runners of all abilities. Backup Racecourse: In the 12-year history of this race, we have had to use an alternate racecourse five times due to unsafe ice depth on the Rio Grande. We have an alternate racecourse as a backup that still provides for a fun and unique "5k on Ice" experience. We utilize the 30-acre pond at Blanca Vista Park and a portion of levee trail system for the 5k. So regardless, you will take in great views and run on ice/snow! Footwear: Participants wear a variety of footwear to run fast and to stay safe. We recommend running shoes with microspikes or a DIY version of microspikes. Here is a video showing you how to improve traction for snow and ice on your own running shoes if no traction device, hiking boots or other shoes that provide a little extra tread are recommended! The Ralston Creek races feature a fun winter half-marathon and 5K run conveniently located on the west side of the Denver Metro Area in Arvada, Colorado. The courses cover a scenic mix of road and bike path over rolling terrain, and an optional early start time for half-marathon runners who expect to take more than 2 hours 45 minutes to complete the course! Half-Marathon entry is limited to the first 650 registrations. 5K registration is limited to the first 350 entries. Once a distance has filled, we cannot accept any additional entries for that distance. This is a 5K fund raiser for Grand Valley Oncology. This year we are raising money for our Gas & Lodging program. The program offers travel assistance and lodging for out of town patients seeking oncology care.  The 5K course is composed of 3 and half loops around the perimeter of the Community Hospital and includes a mix of road, sidewalk and gravel path. Participants will run through showers of food grade colored powder for the ultimate color experience! We want to make this event fun for all ages and accessible to all ability groups.
