Results will be available after the race at www.wire2wirerunning.com 10K Course: USATF-Certified (GA18083WC) This 10K begins on the 400m. track in Dellinger Park before leaving the park and making a small loop by Cartersville Middle School. Then, it takes you on a large loop that travels along gorgeous country roads and alongside historic Etowah Indians Mounds before circumventing Dellinger Park and re-entering at the main entrance. Back to the 400m. track where you will finish like an Olympian as you finish your race on the track!! 5K Course: Similar to the 10K, the 5K starts however at the main entrance of Dellinger Park. It, however, just makes the large loop around the Etowah Indian Mounds but then re-enters Dellinger Park in the back entrance to the park and heads to the 400m. track inside the park. One loop around the track and just like that, this fast yet beautiful race is done! Enjoy the open country roads with surrounding farmland and a gentle rolling hill or two you'll hardly notice. PLEASE NOTE: This is a rain-or-shine event!

Sandy Springs Education Force's 5K/10K - Saturday, October 24, 2026 Registration includes a t-shirt, finisher medals, and awards for adults and kids. US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. Join us Kennesaw, GA for the Salute to Veterans 5K/10K/Half Marathon, a meaningful race dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. Whether you’re running in tribute, alongside a veteran, or as a veteran yourself, this event is a powerful way to show gratitude and community support. As a token of appreciation, all Veterans race for FREE, and Active Duty military can participate for just $15. #HonorMark: The purpose of the #HonorMark initiative is to carry on a local hero’s legacy of service and sacrifice by giving back to the community he served through charitable donations.  Mark Edward Hummeldorf served our nation in the armed forces with the Marine Corps for 4 years and as a firefighter/paramedic for Southside Fire and EMS, Bryan County Emergency Services, Savannah Fire Rescue, and Parris Island Fire Rescue. During his time in the Marine Corps, Mark was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery, which he also exemplified daily in his actions as a first responder. Unfortunately, our community lost this hero on November 22, 2017 when Mark was tragically taken from us at the young age of 33; he left behind his beautiful wife and two wonderful children. This is a fun event for the entire family. For those who might want to run a short distance to those who want to take a Thanksgiving morning stroll to the more serious runner that wants to run somewhat of a hilly course before chowing down on Thanksgiving Dinner. Very laid back but FUN!! This is our 17th year of a fun tradition offering a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. We also have a 1mile FUN RUN. The 5K, 10K, Half participants will receive a nice soft quarter zip pullover. In order to receive a special quarter zip you must sign up by NOVEMBER 16th. The participants in the FUN RUN will receive a printed long sleeve drifit shirt and a medal - everyone is a winner!! We will also be providing digital timing this year! Fast results will be posted immediately. We ask that you bring 3 can goods to bib pick up or race morning to be donated to Gainesville First United Methodist Church to share with those in need over the holidays. US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Please plan for the weather, bring anything you may want between laps, and check in with race staff if you need help. We're back in beautiful Historic Buford!
