The West Palm Beach Congenital Heart Walk & 5k brings heart families, survivors, and supporters together for a meaningful run and one-mile walk—honoring Heart Angels we’ve lost and celebrating Heart Angels still fighting. Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) are the most prevalent defect in the United States, affecting 1 in 100 babies. The Walk & 5k is a family-friendly day of connection, remembrance, and hope, showing that no one faces CHDs alone. Event highlights include: All participants registered for the 5k will receive a custom medal and chip timing by AccuChip and refreshments. After the Run, enjoy Family-friendly activities, crafts, a heartfelt program, remembrance of heart angels, a celebration of heart warriors and our signature walk. History of CHF: CHF was founded in 1996 by Betsy and Steve Peterson, whose son Sam passed away from complications of a congenital heart defect.
