Voted best 10k in the state of Colorado by Colorado Runner Magazine in 2010! This is a challenging trail run with beautiful terrain and breathtaking scenery. The 10K race begins at 10,000 ft at the summit of Rabbit Ears Pass. The course begins by heading uphill on USFS dirt roads and 2 track, and then then heads downhill on single-track, ending on a cross country single-track. The total elevation gain and loss are about ~1,200 feet each. *Although this race is listed as a 10k, the actual distance comes out to 6.8 miles. We will have one aid station on the course about 3.4 miles in (the 5k race option does not have an aid station). We HIGHLY recommend that you bring your own water.

The Running Series is excited to have the Oak Creek No Fun Run on our schedule again! Helping to Heal! The 13th Annual Spirit of the Valley Run, Walk 'N Roll 1K and 5K timed races are set for Saturday September 13, 2025. Runners, walkers and rollers are all welcome for a great morning of competition, fun, food, and rock ‘n roll. The race will benefit two local organizations - the VA Recreational Therapy Program on the Western Slope and Hilltop's Latimer House. The race starts and ends at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, at the corner of 27 ½ Rd. and Cortland Ave., followed by live rock ‘n roll music.   A sack brunch will be served to all participants and volunteers. The Black Squirrel Half Marathon will take place on the wonderful trails of Lory State Park to the northeast of Fort Collins, Colorado. The half marathon course offers a tour of the outer boundaries of Lory State Park, providing breathtaking views to the south and east of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins and the Great Plains; and to the West of the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountain swell. The race covers a variety of terrain, all of which is runnable although technical in places. After a mile of dirt roads, the course ascends a little under four miles and 1,500 feet to the apex at 7,000 feet on Lory’s west ridge. The views are well worth the climb. A bomber descent follows, leaving three and a half miles of beautiful, gently rolling hardpacked singletrack into the finish. The Bike course includes some challenging climbs, while the Run course is rolling on mostly natural dirt/gravel surface with spectacular views of the lake. The Tiger Prowl 5K is a fabulous annual community event and tradition run by the Lakewood High School Foundation to support all the talented and ambitious student programs offered. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. Welcome to Severance's Glow 5K run/walk. A night run where everyone is encouraged to dress in glow in the dark material or with glow sticks! We will provide lighting on the course, a fun DJ at the start/finish line, and some glow sticks to "self decorate" before the race, but feel free to bring as many glow sticks and glow-in-the dark accessories as you'd like! The after party will have both Non-alcoholic as well as alcoholic beer/seltzers provided by High Country Beverage.  The 5k course will begin at the west baseball field at the Severance Community park, it will follow the Great Western Trail and down Ponderosa to Rangeview Elementary School and back to the Community Park.

Miles 4 Madison is a 5K/1K Fun Run supported by Sterling Ranch CAB. Miles 4 Madison's goal is to provide educational and recreational opportunities for families with children with different abilities. The Race is for all capabilities, strollers, and pet-friendly! Race registrations done after 9/10 won't be guaranteed the selected shirt size.    After the success of previous years races, Miles for Madison provided scholarships for several Douglas County children to attend the week-long summer camp at Easter Seals Rocky Mountain Village as well as attend hippotherapy in Douglas County. We have been able to donate playground equipment to local schools and have hosted multiple sensory-friendly events in Sterling Ranch, including Sensory swim and, most recently, a sensory-friendly egg hunt. The Farmers 5000 is likely one of the very first school-based 5K fundraisers in the state of Colorado. Since 1981, serious racers and weekend warriors alike have been coming to Wheat Ridge High School to run the Farmers 5000!  Starting and finishing in front of the school, this race winds through the surrounding neighborhoods making it a true community event. The Farmers 5000 continues to raise money to support school programs while promoting physical fitness and community spirit. The Montrose Recreation Foundation proudly presents the  25th Annual Black Canyon Triathlon will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026. Maps and event FAQ’s here USAT membership required for 2026 Black Canyon Triathlon. This event attracts about 200 athletes and their families annually to Montrose. It is a well supported sprint distance triathlon.  The BCT is now a USAT certified race and you must have a membership  in order to compete. We have lowered fees for some categories to help absorb some of the cost of the membership for 2025 There are individual youth and adult divisions, plus adult and youth teams(2 or 3 members). We also have a family team division and there must be an adult over 18 on the team to be considered a family team.
