The Sterling Police Department is hosting our 4th annual Run For the Badge 5K. This is a FREE event but donations will be accepted at the door for C.O.P.S. (Concerns Of Police Survivors). Starved Rock Country Marathon

Back for a 12th year, the 2026 Starved Rock Country Marathon and Half Marathon, 5K and now 10K  have become the "must do" events of the running community in central Illinois. The Marathon course will again encompass the scenery of the Illinois River, the neighborhoods of Ottawa, and the rolling landscapes in and around Starved Rock State Park. Runners will be inspired by the scenery of rolling country hills and natural rock formations tucked into heavily wooded areas created by the Illinois River thousands of years ago. This record eligible marathon course has 16 aide stations with Gatorade at each station and we plan to stock one station for the half and two for the marathon with GU. Charity Challenge: The Great Descent

This thrilling fundraiser, hosted in partnership with Over The Edge, invites 55 supporters to rappel 12 stories down from the roof of Hotel Arista, located in the heart of the CityGate Centre in Naperville, Illinois. Charity Challenge: The Great Descent is a day-long event hosted on May 9th at Hotel Arista. Family, friends, and spectators are invited to come watch and support participants while enjoying music, food, and fun from ground level. The event begins at 11am, with rappelling sessions running on a rotating schedule through 6pm. Participants will be scheduled a week before the event and should plan to spend about 1 hour on prep and rappelling. Open Water Swim - Lake Lou Yaeger

Join MSE Racing and Coach Sally Drake for an open water swim session/clinic at beautiful Lake Lou Yaeger in Litchfield, IL.  We will kick off Lake Lou Yaeger Triathlon and packet pickup weekend with an optional swim clinic to help newbies prepare and gain helpful tips for open water swimming and race day strategies. For those with experience, just swim and enjoy! We will have a couple of buoys for use at the clinic session, but not full access to the triathlon swim courses. The Run for D103 5K Run/Walk is a family-friendly, annual fundraising event that enables the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) to provide the Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 with programs and equipment for the benefit of our children.  This race is representative of our district's commitment to foster both healthy minds and healthy bodies in our children and to instill a lifelong passion for education and exercise. In addition to the 5k, we will host the Sibling Shuffle, a free fun run for children ages 4 and under.  Toddlers will have a chance to toe the line and be just like their older sibling(s) in this 103-yard dash to the finish line.  Each participant will receive a participation medal to celebrate his/her achievement. Wolf Lake 5k

The Wolf Lake 5k takes you on a scenic tour of the William Powers Conservation Area at Wolf Lake. Your trip begins at the visitors center and takes you North through the park to the State Line where you turn around are return to the finish line.  The race is entirely within the William Powers Conservation Area this year. In addition to our normal race awards, and in honor of those who serve and protect the community, we will have a "First Responders Challenge".  Bragging rights and medals will be awarded to the three fastest Police, Fire, and EMTs. Annual Dash for the Dogs 5K Run/Walk to raise funds for the dogs & cats under our care at Animal House Shelter!   Run or Walk the 5K with your dog or without! Dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations and be excellent around all other animals & people. Fleet Feet Bloomington Donut Run

The Fleet Feet Bloomington Donut Run is a fun annual event for runners and walkers of all ages to celebrate the anniversary of our Store Opening on May 23, 2013. Participants will run/walk a one mile loop in the neighborhoods around the store 1, 2 or 3 times and will eat a Krispy Kreme Donut on each lap. You will receive a Popsicle stick after eating a donut and after completing a lap. Donuts must be eaten in the "donut zone" on Maloney Drive and can't be carried on the course. The first 100 people to turn in SIX Popsicle sticks (representing three miles and three donuts) will receive a prize. This event is just for FUN - it is untimed, not accurately measured and there are no awards. But it is also for a good cause! For a $5 donation to St. Jude participants may skip one donut, for a $10 donation you can skip two and for a $15 donation you can skip them all and just RUN. Tour de Tunnel Bike Ride Hosted by Revive Vienna

Bike the wonderful Tunnel Hill State Trail starting in Vienna, Illinois (Routes: 10 miles, 20 miles, and 40 miles). See amazing sights, old railroad trestles, and even a 500+ foot train tunnel you can ride through on the 20 and 40-mile routes. This ride is presented by Revive Vienna. The ride will start at 9:30 AM. Try to arrive an hour early to sign the waiver and get your t-shirt. We will let the 40-mile group start first, then after a few minutes the 20-mile group will start, and then after them, the 10-mile group will start. The trail has two-way traffic - make sure you ride in a straight line to let others pass coming from the opposite direction. This is a ride, not a race. This is not a timed event. The ride is an out-and-back event. For each mileage-based ride, we will have signs telling you where to turn around.
