Join us for our 3rd annual Maryville Police Donut Dash 5K Walk/Run! The race starts at 8:00 AM. All proceeds will go towards the Maryville Police Association, which was established to raise money for local families in times of need. This 5K will start and finish in beautiful Drost Park in Maryville, IL . The course is a loop course running on the streets and MCT bike trail.  Also, there will be a chance to take off some time off by eating donuts along the course Each donut you eat will take 30 second off your final time. This thrilling fundraiser, hosted in partnership with Over The Edge, invites 55 supporters to rappel 12 stories down from the roof of Hotel Arista, located in the heart of the CityGate Centre in Naperville, Illinois. Charity Challenge: The Great Descent is a day-long event hosted on May 9th at Hotel Arista. Family, friends, and spectators are invited to come watch and support participants while enjoying music, food, and fun from ground level. The event begins at 11am, with rappelling sessions running on a rotating schedule through 6pm. Participants will be scheduled a week before the event and should plan to spend about 1 hour on prep and rappelling. The Pioneer Spirit Sprint and Mini triathlon are a mid-spring tri-series that enables seasoned triathletes or beginning triathletes to test out their abilities in a short-distance, heated indoor pool, triathlon. The Sterling Police Department is hosting our 4th annual Run For the Badge 5K. This is a FREE event but donations will be accepted at the door for C.O.P.S. (Concerns Of Police Survivors). The event will begin and end at the Sterling Township Building located at 505 W. Lynn Blvd in Sterling. Strollers and well-mannered dogs are welcome. What is the Sangamon Cycling Series? The Sangamon Cycling Series (SCS) is a four-month training program designed to help cyclists build fitness over the summer and connect with other cyclists. The program is organized by the Springfield Bicycle Club. Your registration includes entry into four supported rides starting at various locations in the Sangamon County, Illinois area. Each ride features different distances ranging from 25 miles to 100 miles. It's your choice which distance to ride. The Wolf Lake 5k takes you on a scenic tour of the William Powers Conservation Area at Wolf Lake. The Fleet Feet Bloomington Donut Run is a fun annual event for runners and walkers of all ages to celebrate the anniversary of our Store Opening on May 23, 2013. Participants will run/walk a one mile loop in the neighborhoods around the store 1, 2 or 3 times and will eat a Krispy Kreme Donut on each lap. You will receive a Popsicle stick after eating a donut and after completing a lap. Donuts must be eaten in the "donut zone" on Maloney Drive and can't be carried on the course. The first 100 people to turn in SIX Popsicle sticks (representing three miles and three donuts) will receive a prize. This event is just for FUN - it is untimed, not accurately measured and there are no awards. But it is also for a good cause! For a $5 donation to St. Jude participants may skip one donut, for a $10 donation you can skip two and for a $15 donation you can skip them all and just RUN. Join us for a 2K, 5K, or 10K at Rend Lake Dam on May 23rd. The course will follow the scenic bike trail through the spillway south of the dam. The race begins at 8 am.

Bike the wonderful Tunnel Hill State Trail starting in Vienna, Illinois (Routes: 10 miles, 20 miles, and 40 miles). See amazing sights, old railroad trestles, and even a 500+ foot train tunnel you can ride through on the 20 and 40-mile routes. This ride is presented by Revive Vienna. The ride will start at 9:30 AM. Try to arrive an hour early to sign the waiver and get your t-shirt. We will let the 40-mile group start first, then after a few minutes the 20-mile group will start, and then after them, the 10-mile group will start. The trail has two-way traffic - make sure you ride in a straight line to let others pass coming from the opposite direction. This is a ride, not a race. This is not a timed event. The ride is an out-and-back event. For each mileage-based ride, we will have signs telling you where to turn around. The Springfield Bicycle Club is excited to renew our popular Sangamon Gravel Series, and rebrand as the Thunder Road Gravel tour!  Last year we brought you all together for a series of rides around Springfield.  This year, we're expanding the series to a wider region!  Join us for a series of rides from May through August and explore what the central Illinois has to offer when you venture off of the beaten path. Ride specifics are TBD, but expect something in the ballpark of 30 and 60 mile options with a convenience store stop in the middle.  After each ride, we'll have an optional takeover of a local brewery/bar/restaurant. This is a no-cost series, so there will be no SAG offered. As a gravel rider, you're probably already self-sufficient enough to fix a flat or minor mechanical on the road and if you're not, make some friends out there! But that's just the basic highlights. The Herrinfesta Road Races has a long history of families and friends coming together on Memorial Day to have fun, to suffer in the heat for a few miles. If you have never ran it before then you should come join us for a really fun time. With one of the fastest courses around, runners can come to Herrin and shoot for a new PR. This is a family friendly event with a few race options. The 10k run, the 5K walk, the Park Avenue Mile, and the kids mile. Ambitious runners can even sign up for both the 10k and the mile.

Abe's Army is a 12 week program to get runners and walkers of all abilities to their best finish at Abe's Amble 5k/10k in August.  You must be a SRRC member to join, the option to join the club is included in this registration. The program starts May 25, 2026 and runs through race day. Register early to be guaranteed a shirt!
