Our Cause Proceeds benefit the Teens Run Modesto program, which challenges area youth, especially those at-risk, to experience the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring, and improved physical fitness through a structured training program culminating in the running and completion of the Modesto Marathon.

This is a Union Middle School Music Boosters fundraiser event raising money for the music program.  NOTES: Balzer Field off of Miles Ave and University in Los Gatos, only has 110 marked parking stalls. Please carpool as you can and/or park up on University Ave. Watch out; there are Residential Permit only parking on the residential streets nearby. Only the first 300 people around the race turn-around at the top of the course will get wrist bands. Only the first 300 finishers ( with wrist band from top of course ), will get commemorative medals. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place medals for first finishers for Men, Women, Bos and Girls ( under 18 ) Only those registered by March 15th, 2026, will be guaranteed a T-shirt. Join us for a stroll along the Sacramento Rail Trail.  A converted Southern Pacific Railroad track that starts at the base of Shasta Dam and runs for over 11 miles. Enjoy a the view along the Sacramento River/Keswick Lake in the cool of the morning.  Trail is very flat and fast. Field is limited to 400. Races include a half marathon, 10K and 5K. Finisher awards to Half marathoners.  Awards 3 deep in age groups, plus overall awards. Start/Finish will be from the Chappie OHV area at the base of Shasta Dam.  Once you cross Shasta Dam you will follow the road down to the OHV area. Race day registration and packet pickup opens at 7am at OHV area. The Daffodil race has been a staple for the Nevada County community for many, many years. Offering a 5K and a 10K, the routes travel through the quaint little town of Penn Valley and across the green rolling hills on country roads. The 5K travels along the edge of Western Gateway Park, past the dog park, and finally to the park and ride for a quick turnaround for a return to the finish. The 10K begins the same as the 5K, but will take a detour through the park before heading to the park and ride. During the return, the 10K turns right and weaves through the rural countryside of Penn Valley before racing back to the finish.  Penn Valley is known for its daffodils and green grass, and if the timing is right, runners will get to see both. April lends towards cooler temps, so runners can experience energy from the springtime air and community. The AAUW Wildflower Run raises money for scholarships and leadership programs for women & girls and community grants. (For information about our organization, go to www.aauwmh.org.) 10K Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk, and 5K stroller/baby jogger category are all on country roads with chip timing. The Kids' 2K  Run (ages 5-11) and our "all inclusive, non-competitive" 2K Fun Run/Walk (for ages 2-102) are both on a school track.   Our new 5K and 10K routes are in a country setting surrounding Morgan Hill with flat terrain on paved roads. Flat and fast for runners wanting to improve their personal record times. Water available at start and finish of race, with multiple water stops along the routes. Strollers are welcome everywhere except on the school's track. No pets permitted on school grounds. The course is within the Skyline Ridge, Long Ridge, and Russian Ridge Open Space Preserves. The majority of the course is along the Bay Area Ridge Trail with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Cruz Mountains. (Distances are accurately measured using a Rolatape® surveyor's measuring wheel.)

Uniquely situated and completely surrounded by beautiful mountains, the city of Ojai holds the start of the Mountains 2 Beach Marathon while the half starts closer to the beach. This point to point race winds through the Ventura River Valley as it makes its way to the pristine beaches of the last great surf town in California, Ventura. Runners will love the gradual downhill nature of the race, which is prime to make you faster but not hurt the knees, and the amazing weather of the area. After a final tour of beach front Ventura, runners and their families are treated to a finish line party only steps away from the surf and the shops and restaurants of Historic Downtown Ventura. As a certified Boston Qualifier, the courses, the race and the surrounding communities make for the perfect destination marathon and half.

This event is a walkathon on April 24th, 2027 in El Dorado County (EDC). This walkathon will raise money for the non-profit Jenna Sue Souza Furst Memorial Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships and a free therapy session to local high school students within EDC. The walkathon aims to spread mental health awareness with an emphasis on our youth. The trail will start at the Placerville Town Hall, go through main street, and loop back to Placerville Town Hall, utilizing the EDC trail at the end. The registration at the event will begin at 8am and will close at 9am. The walk will begin at 9am. T-shirts and raffle tickets will be available for purchase on this website and at the event. Local businesses will be donating fantastic and generous raffle prizes. If you would like to attend, but not walk, please consider donating $20 and join us at 10:30am at the Placerville Town Hall. The Parkway Half Marathon is an annual spring-time tradition for runners and walkers in the Sacramento region!  This flat, fast, and shady course travels along the American River Parkway through old-growth Oak forests, lush meadows, and pristine riparian habitat, making it a perfect race for a PR, and a scenic journey for everyone!  But the Parkway Half is more than just a race- it is the first, and for nearly a decade, the ONLY race event to donate 100% of its proceeds to benefit the American River Parkway. As of 2026, our cumulative donations have amounted to over $400,000!  These donations help fund habitat restoration, invasive plant removal, trash clean up, kids’ interactive nature trails, and our latest project - drinking fountain installations, of which five have been installed, with two more on the way!
