8th Annual KIWANIS RESOLUTION 5K Run/Walk, and 10K Run/Walk

KIWANIS Resolution Races are in-person runs at Mountain View Shoreline Park! We’ve both a 5K and 10K event to choose from, with Digital  Chip timing for both.   This year we are again running on Saturday January 3 to give  holiday travelers a chance to participate too. Start the new year out with a great run on a great day on the Bayland trails!. It's a beautiful location with free parking, great race, with post-race snacks and lots of awards.   Please note that no dogs or pets are allowed in Shoreline Park.   We will again have a 1K Kids run this year for ages 1-10 and this year all 1K participants will also receive a race T shirt. LASAA’s mission is to provide athletic events for our members, comprised of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department employees and law enforcement personnel, to promote health, fitness, and camaraderie.  The Mug Run series started in 1993. The primary participants were law enforcement personnel with an average of 10 runners.  Since then, the Mug Run series opened its participation to the general public. The Probation Auxiliary County of Kern presents their 37th Annual 5K/10K Fog Run at Lake Ming in Bakersfield. This is a fun and family friendly 5K/10K race to support at-risk individuals in Kern County. Proceeds will also benefit the Kern County Probation Department's Helping Hands program. Helping Hands is a nonprofit organization, and their goal is to guide at risk youth towards success by removing barriers and equipping them with the basic needs. Together the two organizations provide scholarships, vocational training, mentoring, clothing, hygiene products, and other necessities.  We believe our programs leave a lasting impact on youth by removing barriers and increasing self-esteem, confidence, and drive to go to school.
