The Veterans Honor Run is the final event in the Burton Race Series and a community tradition built around gratitude for those who served. While the Burton Memorial Day 5K focuses on remembrance, this event highlights active appreciation for veterans and their families. It is a chance to show support, stand together, and close out the season with purpose. Participants run or walk a neighborhood route that winds through the local community. Whether you are pushing for a strong finish or enjoying an easy morning with friends, the Veterans Honor Run blends fitness, community pride, and the shared energy that makes race day special. As the last stop in the Burton Race Series, VHR brings the year full circle. Give your metabolism a boost over Thanksgiving Reconnect Weekend with our Turkey Vulture Trot 5k and 1-Mile Fun Run! The 5K will begin at 9am on Thursday, November 27 on our Mountain Center Road course. The 1-Mile Fun Run will begin at 10am. A portion of the proceeds will benefit North Sky Raptor Sanctuary .   A commemorative medal will be awarded to the top 3 men and women in each age group for the 5K race. All Fun Run participants will receive a finisher medal. The overall male and female winner of the 5K will receive a Crystal Mountain Prize Pack valued at over $200.    We are excited to announce that for our 2025 Turkey Vulture Trot we will now have Chip timing! The Mighty Gobbler is a Thanksgiving tradition! A 5k race and 1 mile fun run/walk through a quiet Troy neighborhood. Get into the Holiday Spirit with Exercise & Fun! The Paw Paw Area Rotary Club is hosting its 15th Annual 5K Santa Run and 1-Mile Fun Walk on Saturday, December 12, 2026 at Freshwater Community Church in Paw Paw.  Proceeds from the Run will be used to support the Rotary Club’s efforts both locally & worldwide.  Each participant will receive a 5-piece Santa suit to wear during the Run/Walk (kids under 12 receive a free Santa hat). A $100 donation will be made to Rotary International's WASH program on behalf of the men's and the women's 1st place runners.  Rotary's WASH initiative works to bring clean water, sanitation and hygiene programs worldwide to communities in need.  The Santa Run is a popular community event enjoyed by participants and spectators alike.  Enjoy our pre-run party with live music, treats, and time to visit with friends. Traverse City Track Club’s Jingle Bell Run:  5:30pm - Sunday, December 20, 2026 The Jingle Bell Run is a nighttime holiday run that tours favorite neighborhood streets bordering downtown Traverse City that are adorned in holiday lights and decorations. The event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities donned in festive holiday costumes. It is a fun and festive, family-friendly event.
