The Golden Grizzlies Festival of Races is an event for all ages and abilities! Join us as we run a scenic loop through Oakland University's campus and finish with a lap on the Elaine Leigh track facility! We will be holding a 5k run/walk and a 10k run with medals and t-shirts for all participants. Proceeds from the race will go to benefit the Oakland University Cross Country and Track and Field programs. STARTING TIMES: 9:10 am - Kids Run/Walk (meant for ages 10 and under) 9:30 am - 5K run/walk and 10K Run PACKET PICKUP: Packet Pickup on race morning only. The 12th annual Franciscan Rhythms 5K Trail Run & Walk benefiting our music therapy program and land restoration efforts will take place Saturday, October. 3, 2026. The all-ages and all-fitness levels 5K will give participants an opportunity to “Run with Nuns” and experience a variety of restorative projects on a scenic path through our Lowell campus, 11650 Downes St. NE.  As race participants enjoy the course, they will be surrounded by deciduous woodland, pine forest and a restored prairie that contains all native plants. The Forever Home Run began in 2015 as a partnership between Legacy Adoption Services and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church to raise awareness and funding to support foster children waiting for their forever families. This year will be the 12th annual FHR event! Forever Home Run includes both a virtual and an in-person option. The virtual event can be run anytime between October 3rd-5th.  The in-person event takes place on October 3rd at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and includes two races: a 5k through beautiful Bloomfield Hills complete with fall foliage (9:00 am) and a 1k Dress-Up Dash (10:30 am)!   The 5k is USATF certified and professionally timed (microchip) by Eastside Racing Company. You are welcome to wear your favorite costume for either the 5k or the Dress-Up Dash. Register today to compete in our 5th Annual Grand River Color Tour Triathlon with a twist. This race will feature a 2k kayaking paddle, a 15-mile cycle, and a 5k run during the most colorful season of the year in Eaton Rapids. Additionally, the final leg of the 5k, runners will be blasted with powder coloring leaving each racer to finish the competition in a uniquely colored way. The race will begin with kayaking at 8:30 am. Registration/check in will begin at 7:00 am and must be complete by 8:00 am. There is also an option to participate in the 5K Only or do the Triathlon as a Relay Team of 3.

We are excited to host our 6th Annual Miles for Mentorship event to support Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region’s mission to ignite the promise and power of youth! Miles for Mentorship is an outdoor, walk or run 5K. This year the event will be held at Hawk Island starting and ending at the Red Tail Shelter. A NEW FALL FAVORITE GRAVEL EVENT: FALL COLORS, FOOD, BEER, LIVE MUSIC Chelsea, MI To Hell, MI (And Back). Rode To HELL is a gravel bike event consisting of three distances: 71 Mile, 41 Mile and 24 Mile. The event encompasses Jackson, Washtenaw, Livingston and Ingham Counties. A majority of the roads traveled will be gravel with smaller segments of paved portions, making for a memorable and unique challenge at the longer distances.

Welcome to the 2nd annual Anderson Lake Backyard Ultra.  This is a 24-hour capped backyard ultra.  Join us for a fun-filled day (and night) of running and camaraderie.  We can’t say enough that this race is for just about everybody. This isn’t your typical ultra-marathon. We emphasize doing your best, rather than strict competition. Runners will run one 4.167-mile loop every hour, on the hour, for up to 24 hours. As long as you can make it back to basecamp and the start corral before the next hour, you’ll get to do another loop. The goal is to have fun, enjoy the company of fellow runners, and push yourself as far as you’d like. October is the peak of fall colors at Independence Oaks, so you will be running and walking through some of the most wonderfully decorated hardwood forests in southeastern Michigan, as well as on wood chip trails. Choose from any of three races of varying lengths - all beginning and ending at the same location. The 2.5 Mile race makes a single circuit around Crooked Lake, with rolling hills. The challenging 5.5 Mile race continues a second time around the lake and branches off onto Rock Ridge Trail. The longest 8.5 Mile race includes a third lap, continuing onto Spring Lake Trail, and is not for the faint of heart.

Join us for the 12th Annual Heroes 5K run /2K walk, a charity event hosted by Shields of Hope that aims to spread hope, love, and encouragement to those impacted by cancer in the West Michigan community.  We remember Shauna Smith, who bravely fought cancer, and honor Thoe Kok, who is currently battling brain cancer. The event is open to everyone, including public safety, EMS, and military personnel, who are encouraged to participate in full gear. We invite those affected by cancer to join us in honor of or in memory of a loved one who has faced or is facing this challenging fight. Remember, NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE! While this is not a timed event, a clock will be provided.

A fast, fun and challenging course utilizing Fort Custer's red, green & yellow trails awaits you!  Whether you're looking to keep up your conditioning as Iceman awaits or perhaps attempting your first Mountain Bike race, Custer's Last Stand is a great race for you. The 9 miles of trail is 90% single track, but affords enough passing room for courteous racing.  Participants will be sent off every 30 seconds so there's plenty of space between riders. Trivium Racing has been dreaming of producing this epic event for years, and we’re thrilled to finally unveil our exciting new race plan. This event will feature a 100-Mile, 100-Kilometer, and 50-Kilometer Ultra, as well as a relay option for the 100-Mile. The highlight of this course will be crossing the top of Michigan's lower peninsula from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron. The 100-Mile course will be point-to-point, beginning in Petoskey and concluding in Alpena. The 100k course will also be a point to point race finishing in Alpena.  Our 50K race will feature an out and back course from Alpena that will have very manageable cutoffs and great running surfaces! Athletes will navigate a variety of terrain, including single-track trails, gravel roads, limestone paths, and seasonal roads. 2025 Results Link   Trail run 5K at the Leelanau State Park trails off Densmore Road by the Woosley Airport in Northport, Michigan. Expect a challenging and fun trail loop with professional timing and 5-year age groups. The Headless Horseman 5K is BACK and SPOOKIER than ever! This dusk event will be in-person and kick-off at State and Clinton Streets in beautiful Downtown Howell. Costumed participants will wind their way through the historic neighborhoods and through Scofield City Park. Participants will receive a long-sleeved 50/50 blend shirt if registered by the end of the day on September 27th.   Early Packet Pick up will take place Oct. 14th -16th at the Oceola Community Center 1661 N. Latson Rd. Howell MI 48843 during normal business hours.
