Come join us for the 2026 Charlottesville Turkey Trot 5k on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 26th at 9:00 am. The race starts and finishes next to Albemarle High School and features a neighborhood course with flat stretches and gentle rolling hills, totaling 133 feet of elevation gain. Ample parking will be available at Albemarle High School, Journey Middle School, and Greer Elementary. The race proudly supports two local beneficiaries: the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, both of which provide critical food resources to individuals and families in need. The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank serves Central Virginia and is an affiliate of the national organization Feeding America. Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, located directly on the race route, is the largest distributor of food from the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank in the Charlottesville area and provides free groceries to families and individuals up to two times per month, with nearly one-third of households

Join us at Smith Mountain Lake State Park for the region's only Turkey Trot - 1 mile and family friendly 5k on November 26th (Thanksgiving) at 9 am! Hosted by LAT Wellness Studio, this race is located on a scenic, asphalt route and welcomes walkers and runners to participate. A portion of proceeds is donated to the state park. Register by October 31st to guarantee a shirt. There will be prizes for top qualifiers for runners plus the best dressed turkey family! Awards for runners start at 10:00 am. Fountainhead Regional Park is situated along the banks of the Occoquan Reservoir in Western Fairfax County. This awesome race course is beautiful and consists of hiking trails and a few old dirt roads.  We’ve been racing at Fountainhead for over 15 years…and it continues to be a racer favorite. This is a 2 loop trail run at First Landing State Park beginning and ending at the boat ramp.FLUIDS AND FOOD: 2 full aid stations at 64th St and Bald Cypress with various foods, water and Tailwind. Established in 1971, the history of the organization encompasses tremendous growth and produces what has become Dallas’ largest and Texas’ longest running marathon, the BMW Dallas Marathon, as well as several other weekend running and walking event options including a Half Marathon, 50K Ultra Marathon, the Relays, 10K, 5K, a 5K Team Challenge, the Friday Night Lights Mile and various Kids Races.

Just in time for Christmas, this thrilling two-loop course invites runners and walkers alike to wind through campus and the woods behind Peninsula Catholic High School, all decked out in Christmas lights and full of holiday cheer. Best of all, 100% of registration profits (after costs) will be donated to charity.   But which charity? A number of teams will be competing for a grand prize: the right to choose which charity will receive 50% of the race registration profits. The New Year's Eve Glow Run 5K presented by Generations Crossing is the hottest way to ring in the new year with friends and family in Harrisonburg, VA. Enjoy a 5K course at Heritage Oaks Golf Course along the beautiful cart paths as the sun sets on the year. Now in its 13th year, the Newport News One City Marathon is a great point-to-point marathon option located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. This course is known for its fast times and a high percentage of Boston Qualifying times. There are also additional race distances available including half marathon, 5K and Nautical Mile fun run. Come and join us for our 2nd annual 5K and Kids 1 miler. All ages and abilities are welcomed. Run/ and or Walk for RDS, with all proceeds going towards our "Light up the Fields Campaign" to raise funds to have lights installed on our fields located at, 564 Red House Rd Rustburg. Details: Rustburg Dixie Softball is proud to present its second annual RDS Diamond Diva 5k and kids 1-miler (12 and under) hosted at English Park in Altavista. The RDS Diamond Diva 5k course will take you around English Park and to the back of the park, all adjacent to the Staunton River. A beautiful way to enjoy a spring morning on this flat + fast 5k course! This is a dog and stroller friendly race, please bring the means to pick up after your dog and be mindful of the leash while out on the course.
