Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Cantigny (pronounced "Can - Tee - Knee") Cantigny is the former home of Colonel Robert R. McCormick, longtime editor, and publisher of the Chicago Tribune. The 500-acre estate features gardens, the Robert R. McCormick Museum, the First Division Museum, and a 27-hole championship public golf course. 5K participants and their families are invited to explore and enjoy Cantigny.  Cantigny 5K Run/Walk 2025 The Cantigny 5K Run/Walk is a benefit for the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, and registrants may enjoy access to Cantigny for the rest of the afternoon. The course tours the grounds of Cantigny and Cantigny Golf. Participants will run past Cantigny’s Gardens, the Robert R. McCormick House, and the First Division Museum. Wow! Year 9 of supporting and honoring Jaimie Cox! Come join us in Roscoe, IL for an active day, Jaimie's way!  WE ARE THE ROSCOE AREA'S LARGEST 5K CHARITY EVENT! Our nature based 5K Run/Walk or 2 mile walk will begin at Roscoe Middle School (RMS). The route proceeds west to the historic Stone Bridge Trail before turning south as you continue to pound the crushed limestone path. You will reach the halfway point, turn around and return to RMS.  *Please note that our course features a variety of running surfaces, including gravel.

Please join us for our 4th Annual St. Francis of Assisi 5K! This is an opportunity for you to get some exercise, have fun and help local shelter animals. Pets are more than welcome, they are encouraged! A photo area will be setup for you to capture memories with your friends, family and pets. Free refreshments for both you and your pet will be available before and after the race. We will be raffling off different gift baskets during the event. Saline Co. will also have foster dogs that are available for adoption. We will offer a map of the race coarse and the race path will be clearly marked for the participants. All proceeds will be given to Friends of Saline County Animals. Other donations such as dog food, cat food, liter, pet toys or anything pet related will also go to the organization just bring your donations to the race with you! The top 3 winners from each age group will receive a medal. Age groups will be divided into 5 different sections. Ages 5-19, 20-34, 35-50, and 51-65 and 66+. The burrito bolt 5k is a fundraiser for the Paris First Baptist Church youth group Legacy. This race will take place at the church (201 S. Central Ave. Paris, IL) This is our 3rd annual race with many more to come in the future! The JMH 5K/10K, presented by Gatorade, is Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026. The JMH 5K/10K is the longest, consecutive running event in Jacksonville. 2026 is our 32nd year. Be prepared for a PR as both courses are flat and fast. Both courses start and finish on the east side of the campus (Founders Lane) of Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. The first 200 runners to cross the finish line receive a custom finishers medal. First, second and third place awards are presented to males and females in 13 age categories. Check out fall’s most ‘spirited’ event! It’s the 13th annual 5K on the grounds of the north side’s historic Rosehill Cemetery. Run or walk on the sprawling 350-acre Victorian-era cemetery that opened in 1864. It’s by far the largest cemetery in the City of Chicago (and second largest in Illinois). Monuments! Mausoleums! Scenic paths! And then there’s the eternal spirits who reside in Rosehill. Among them: more than 10 Chicago mayors, Oscar Mayer, John G. Shedd, Cubs’ announcer Jack Brickhouse, legendary adman Leo Burnett, Sears founder Julius Rosenwald and scores of Civil War vets are just a few of the souls who call Rosehill home. In addition, there will also be a post run/walk party at the close-by Fireside Restaurant & Tavern.

This event is a charity community run with all proceeds going towards the Salvation Army. If you are unable to attend the run but would still like the help the cause, there is an option to just donate as well. While this event began in Morton, IL, we have brought a counterpart to the University of Illinois. This event is being run by Going The Distance in conjunction with the Salvation Army in Champaign to put on the best race possible! This year, the run will take place on October 17th at 9:00am. Please show up by 8:50am to check in at the check in table on the east side of the Main Quad by Foellinger Auditorium. Check-in will be open from 8:00am-8:50am. The Harvard Running Club is hosting the first ever Dia de Los Muertos 5K in collaboration with the Harvard Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Our goal is to promote personal health and wellness, community engagement, and economic development while sharing our cultural traditions. Participants of all age levels are welcome to join as we encourage connection, cultural appreciation, and community pride. We welcome you to bring a picture of your loved ones who have passed on, to place on the altar next to the finish line as you run in their honor. There will be a free Dia de Los Muertos event held downtown for racers, family, and friends to enjoy after the race at 1PM.

Franklin Grove Area Historical Society is proud to host, The Cook Cancer 5K Walk/Run in memory of Ron and Melody Cook, this is a new event which invites runners and walkers of all ages to experience the various terrains in Chaplin Creek Historic Village, 1715 Whitney Rd, in Franklin Grove, Illinois. Cancer has affected many households, by participating, you're not only getting active and having fun, but you're also helping make a meaningful impact in cancer research through the American Cancer Society, where the profits from the race are going. What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk? The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! For more information on the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation please visit www.t2t.org. This is the first year Tunnel to Towers is coming to Quincy and we are excited to show our support and "do good and never forget." How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk? This is a 5K (3.1 miles) to walk or run this event. Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event. Where can I pick up my packet? Details coming soon. Can I register the day of the run? Yes. Registration will be open until the start of the run. If you wait to register we may not have a shirt for you and we do not guarantee sizes for late registrants. When does online registration close? Registration will be open until the start of the run. Do I have to wear my bib number? Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment. Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish. I am a fast runner. Can I get a front line position? Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral (arrive early). Will there be awards for running? Yes, we keep them very simple since our mission is to honor first responders, most of our awards are based on firefighters, police or military running in gear in the same fashion that Stephen Siller did on 9/11. This event is intended to be an experience and much more than a run. The event is currently not timed. This may change as plans develop and sponsors sign up. Will water be available? Yes, a water station will be available along the route and there will be water available.. What can you bring to the event? Can I run with a stroller, backpack, wheelchair, roller blades, bicycle, etc? Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted. This family friendly race features a hilly and scenic course beginning and ending at Liberty Courtyard Winery. The Kaskaskia River's beauty can be taken in at the start and finish. Join us for the Paws for a Cause 5K on October 18th! This community 5K is being organized through a collaboration between Hill’s, Purina, OTS, Nutrition Club, Run Club, and the University of Illinois veterinary community. The goal is to bring students, faculty, staff, and members of the Champaign-Urbana community together for a fun morning of running, walking, and giving back. Fifty percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a selected charity or good cause, with the remaining funds supporting the clubs involved in organizing the race. Every third Sunday in October is our Annual Oktoberfest 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk! This run/walk is a fundraiser to support BN Sunrise Rotary’s Youth Services and the CCHS Rotaract Club. The run is a chip-timed 5K on the Constitution Trail from GE park, looping through Tipton Trails, and back to GE park. Blacktop trails the whole way. Registration: • Participants must register online in advance. We will have late and race day registration but it is all electronic and we will not have paper race forms. Register on your phone, pay with your card and you will be automatically assigned a bib number - show your confirmation email at bib pick up. • Pickup of your race bib and shirt prior to race day is strongly encouraged. Pickup will take place at Fleet Feet Bloomington on Saturday, October 17 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm or from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at GE Park before the race on Sunday. The STARS Girls Club Walk to End Breast Cancer Awareness Walk-a-Thon is a 3-mile community event designed to raise awareness and funds in support of breast cancer research, and individuals and families affected by breast cancer. Participants may register individually or as part of a team and are encouraged to fundraise in honor or memory of someone impacted by breast cancer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Cancer Support Center in Homewood, Illinois.

We are on CARA's 2026 Runner's Choice Race Circuit Again! Lake Bluff PTO Pumpkin Chase 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is on Saturday October 24, 2026. The 5K starts @ 8AM and the Fun Run starts @ 9:15AM. Our 5K course is a certified course (USATF- IL-14092-JW) that travels along the beautiful tree lined streets of east Lake Bluff down to the bluff overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan.
