We're bringing back our 10K run to go along with our 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk!  We will be back at Riverwinds Community Center (beginning at the Amphitheater) and look forward to seeing you! Building Bots, Building Futures! South Jersey Robotics celebrates the return of the Robot Run for it's ELEVENTH YEAR! This 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk will kick off a day of activities at the annual STEAMfest at River Winds in West Deptford - Awards in the 5K to the top 3 M/F Overall and in age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, and 10 yr AG up to 60+ (Awards are custom made by SJR members!) - Teams are welcome! Our Story: Running for Ian We are Steven and Alison Dimitratos, and we started Ian’s Run to honor the memory of our beautiful son, Ian Thomas Dimitratos. At our 20-week anatomy scan, we discovered Ian had abnormalities. Further testing revealed he had Trisomy 13, a rare genetic disorder caused by an extra 13th chromosome that impacts brain development. Despite being told his chances of surviving birth were low, we held onto hope and prayer just to meet him. Ian was born on October 4, 2020. He lived for 7 beautiful hours before passing away peacefully in our arms. By joining us at RiverWinds, you help us keep Ian's memory alive while also providing a glimmer of hope to other families. 100% of the proceeds from this race go directly to Make-A-Wish® New Jersey. Start your Thanksgiving day at the West Deptford Running of the Turkeys 5K Turkey Trot and 2-mile Wobble Walk! Optional long-sleeve shirts will be available for purchase until Thursday, November 19th. The West Deptford Running of the Turkeys is on Thanksgiving Morning at 9:00 AM. Choose to run the 5K Turkey Trot Race or the 2-mile Wobble Walk. The 5K race will be chip-timed. We ask that all participants please PRE-REGISTER before or on Wednesday, November 25th at 8:00 PM in order to participate in the Running of the Turkeys. Race bibs and optional t-shirts (if purchased) will be available for pick-up from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, Nov 25th, and starting at 7:00 AM on Thanksgiving morning at RiverWinds Community Center. We encourage you to allow plenty of time to pick up your race bib. If possible, please pick up on Wednesday evening. First, second, and third place male and female overall and age group award medals will be given out to the winning 5K participants after the race. Age groups for awards: 13 & under14-1920-2930-3940-4950-5960-6970+ The awards ceremony will begin promptly at 9:45. We will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministries Food Bank. A rain or shine event. Optional long-sleeve shirts will not be available after Thursday, November 19th. Shirts will not be available for purchase on race day. Note: You must be present on race day to claim your shirt. This is a FREE Kids Fun Run associated with the Riverwinds Triathlon (www.runsignup.com/riverwinds). The Kids Fun Run is for kids 14 and under and will take place right after the Saturday (4/25) packet pick up for the triathlon. The event will be approximately a 1/4 mile run and take place on the track at the Riverwinds Community Center fitness center. All kids will receive a finisher medal.

The Riverwinds Triathlon! You will start your race with a 200 yd. swim at the indoor pool then head outside for a 10 mile bike followed by a 5K run. Other options: Aquabike:  200 yd. swim, 10 mile bike, done! Duathlon:  2 mile run, 10 mile bike, and 5K run. Relay: Grab some friends and each do one leg of the triathlon 5K: Skip the swim and bike, and just run our 5K course Have kids that want to participate in a Free Kids Fun Run?  The Kids Run will take place on Saturday, 4/25, following packet pick up for the triathlon.  Kids will run through the triathlon finish line and receive a finisher medal.  Register your kids at https://runsignup.com/riverwindskidsfunrun Packet pick up is available on Saturday, 3pm-5pm in the lobby of the Riverwinds Community Center as well as on race morning 5:45am-7am.  An Athlete Guide will be sent to all athletes with all race details during the week leading up to the race.
