Course starts and finishes in parking lot of Hall High School in Spring Valley, Illinois. Course is an out and back on paved city streets with traffic control at most intersections. . Terrain is mostly flat with series of gentle rolling hills. Course is certified distance. Race is chip timed with race results posted on Starved Rock Runners web site. Early bird registration is $25.00 if registered by January 1st, 2026, $30.00 on or before March 15th, $35.00 through and including race day. Swag will be a long sleeve race T-shirt. Shirts are only guaranteed to those who pre-register on or before March 10, 2026. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in each age bracket, the Overall Male & Female Finishers, & the top male and female finisher from Spring Valley. Age Divisions: (one each for male & female) 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-and over.  Awards ceremony after the race.

A 5k walk/run in Spring Valley hosted by the Kingsland Key Club.

RACE START TIME: 10 a.m. DIRECTIONS: Race location is at Walton Park in Spring Valley at the corner of Rt 725 and Rt 42. From Bellbrook, take RT 725 east 5 miles. From Xenia, take Rt 42 south 7 miles. From the Dayton area, take Rt 35 to Rt 42 south. From points south, take Rt 42 north. Spring Valley is located about midway between Waynesville and Xenia on Rt 42. PARKING: Walton Park, Elm Street, Spring Valley, Ohio COURSE: This is a very flat out-and-back course on a paved rail-to-trails recreation path. Each race distance will have a clearly marked turnaound point. REGISTRATION: Registration is available to all through RunSignup prior to the race.  Online registration remains open until approximately 15 minutes before race start and can be done in-person at the race.  Hard copy registration sheets are also available on race day if needed.
