Join us for a 5K and One Mile Fun Run on May 24th, 2025 in Scottsboro, AL! This event will benefit the ministry of Difference Maker as we continue to run for and with this next generation. Difference Maker is a ministry of The Well Scottsboro. We host events (camp in summer, conference in winter) for youth in grades 7-12, cultivating an atmosphere where they can encounter Jesus, build community and have fun! We'd love for you to join us as we RUN FOR THE NEXT GENERATION!

This fundraiser is to benefit Turning Point as we seek to engage, educate, and empower those who have unplanned pregnancies to make informed decisions to protect the lives of their unborn children and promote the building up of individuals, families, and the community.   We will have prizes for the best dressed. We will have iced coffee and water, and snacks.

HTPG - Rheem will host their 6th Annual Superhero 5K on Saturday, May 16, 2025. All proceeds will be benefiting The Jackson County Children's Advocacy Center.  Dress up in your favorite Superhero costume and run or walk 3.1 miles for a great cause. The Jackson County Children’s Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization located in the heart of Scottsboro, Alabama. The Center provides a safe and supportive environment to put the children it serves at ease. The staff provides forensic interviews, therapy services and advocacy for child-victims and their families within Jackson County Pre-Registration is $25.00. Race Day Registration is $30.00. To be guaranteed a shirt you must be registered by Friday, May 1, 2026.

The Goose Pond Island Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon returns to the Goose Pond Colony Resort, located in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 23rd 2026. We have added a 5k Run to the event this year, for those that don't feel challenged to participate in the Triathlon.  It will be the same course as the triathlon run portion.  You won’t be required to have a USAT membership for the 5k.  We invite all to come enjoy the beauty and challenge awaiting in our host Northern Alabama venue! Packet Pickup Friday 5 PM - 7:00 PM & Saturday 6:30- 7:30 AM at the grassy area just outside of the Docks Restaurant. Please park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area. Please note that if you are picking up your packet on race day morning, you will need to arrive early so that you can get checked in and won’t delay the start of the race.
