NEW LOCATION • NEW DATE  Read below to make sure you understand the changes The Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon (“SVKT”) is one of the country’s largest triathlons specifically for kids aged SIX through SEVENTEEN. This year, we are moving to a new venue, the beautiful and recently opened Kathleen MacDonald High School. The swim will be in the pool and the run on the track as usual. The bike course will continue to be on closed roads. There should be plenty of parking, the bike course has easy spectator viewing, and the whole event will be more compact. Because we are in a new venue with a smaller pool, we are cutting out some of the events that have been traditionally held in order to make the event smaller as we gain more experience with this venue. Triathlon There are two triathlon events to choose from.  Competitive Triathlon is for kids aged 6 to 15 who are ready to race on their own. It is timed and there will be awards. The Silicon Valley Mini Kids Triathlon is specifically for kids aged 4 through 6, and parents can help their kids during the race. All participants will receive a finisher medal and T-shirt; the race will not be timed, and there will be no awards ceremony.  The race will be held at the beautiful, recently opened Kathleen MacDonald High School. The swim will be in the pool, and the run will be on the sidewalk closed to the public.  The bike course will be on a closed road. There should be plenty of parking; the bike course offers easy spectator viewing, and the event will be more compact overall. Triathlon For kids 4-6 years old (parents can help during the race from the swim to the finish line; if parents decide to help the kid, it will be part of the race the whole time, but they don't need to swim with the kids).

Join us for the 15th Annual Silicon Valley Santa Run, benefiting Christmas in the Park!  This 5K Run/Walk is holiday fun for the whole family. You can dress up as your favorite holiday character or tradition, then make your way through San Jose for a festive afternoon celebrating the most wonderful time of the year! The flat, fast course begins on Santa Clara St. and concludes at Christmas in the Park, where you can enjoy the decorations and booths with your friends and family. Silicon Valley Santa Run offers a 5K run/walk or a Kids Reindeer Dash. Both events are available in person or virtually. All 5K participants will receive our holiday-themed long sleeve tech shirt, ornament-style finisher medal, and race bib with timing chip. Kids Reindeer Dash participants will receive a festive short-sleeved t-shirt, an ornament-style finisher medal, a race bib, and milk and cookies at the finish line.
