Run or walk the beautiful Northeast Alabama Community College campus on Saturday, March 21, 2025, and help us to raise money for scholarships at the First Southern State Bank Mustang 5K!   The Mustang Run / Walk will begin promptly at 8 AM from the Athletic Complex on the Northeast Campus at 138 Alabama Highway 35 Rainsville, Alabama.  Chip timing will be provided.  All proceeds from this race will benefit scholarships at Northeast Alabama Community College.   Pre-registration until February 14 is only $25.  February 14 until day of race is $30.  Registration day of race is $40.  Students pay only $20.  To be guaranteed a long sleeve race t-shirt, please register before March 1.

On June 6, 2026, runners from across the country will descend upon Rainsville for the 18th  ANNIVERSARY OF THE RAINSVILLE FREEDOM RUN 10K AND 5K, "The Best Small Race in America”. The event is for runners and walkers of all ages. The race will begin and end at the DeKalb County Schools Coliseum located at 1504 Main St E.   MOST OVERALL PRIZE MONEY EVER (5) DEEP MALE AND FEMALE 10K Overall Prize $$: 1st place - $1000, 2nd place - $800, 3rd place - $600, 4th place - $400 - 5th place - $200. 5K Overall Prize $$: 1st place - $600, 2nd place - $400, 3rd place - $300, 4th place - $200 - 5th place - $100. Biggest and Most Door Prizes Ever.  $1000 Grand Door Prize and thousands of dollar more in prizes. Funds generated by the 2026 Freedom Run will remain in the community, helping local citizens through donations which will benefit local charities.                     *** There will be no refunds or bib transfers for this race. ***

This is a chip timed 5k run.  The proceeds go toward digging wells and other missions projects in Uganda.

Annual 5K & Fun Run  - The Great Pumpkin Run 5K benefiting the DeKalb Country Children's Advocacy Center. ALL proceeds from the 5K will go to the DeKalb Country Children's Advocacy Center to help abused children in DeKalb County.  Pre-Registration is $35.00. Race Day Registration is $40.00. Race Day Registration will close at 7:45am. To be guaranteed a race day shirt you must be registered by October 6th.OVERALL MALE and FEMALE WINNERS CASH PRIZES: $100 Fun Run for ages 9 and under will begin at 9:00 AM.

WOW… This is fantastic… 39.3 MILES in 3 DAYS...Three Half Marathons in Three Days in Three Cities in DeKalb County, Alabama. Rainsville, ALTour Of DeKalb County This is a NO FRILLS RUN; There will be no timing, no water stations, no door prizes, no prize money, BUT those participants who complete all three runs will receive Custom Crazies Swag. NOTE: If you register for the Crazies Trifecta, you will automatically be registered for the Rainsville Freedom Run on June 6, 2026.  Dates: March 6, 7, 8, 2026. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Cost: Registration from January 1 - January 31st is $75 then from February 1st - 23rd the cost for all Three Half Marathons is $100 and everyone that registers will receive a free entry fee into the Rainsville Freedom Run in June 2026.  All proceed will be given to the Rainsville Freedom Run charities. Crazies Trifecta will be limited to the first 100 Crazies Friends to register.  Deadline to register is February 23, 2026. Each run will start at 8am. Startin
