Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.  High School: We also welcome our high school runners! Our high school students will be running a 2 mile race.  Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. Join Schuylkill River Greenways for our first walk/run event on the SRT on Saturday, October 10th, 2026! We have 3 different options available - 5k, 10 Mile Run and a Family Fun Loop! All proceeds from the Run will go directly to our Stewardship Fund to ensure all future maintenance needs are funded. All runs will start and end at Pottstown Riverfront Park! The 5K will turn before Old Reading Pike and is on paved trail.The 10-Mile will cross the Douglassville Bridge, one of the 5 SRT bridges before turning around and is paved and crushed gravel trail.The Family Fun Loop, all ages welcome, strollers allowed, no pets please. This will take place at the Pottstown Riverfront Park Loop which is both paved and crushed gravel trail. This is just under a mile long. Each registration covers one adult and two children under 12. All road crossings will be supported from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and there will be water stops along the routes. Following the run, there will be a finish line celebration to refuel with food and drinks! Coventry 300 5k Run & 1.5 Mile Fun Walk Description: Coventry Church will again sponsor the Coventry 300 5k. Inaugurated in 2024 to celebrate Coventry Church’s 300th birthday, this event has been making strides as a unique family friendly, community centered race, with something for everyone. 5k: The third year of this race will reveal a slight derivation in the course to make it more runner friendly and include a team option. The race will start and finish next to the church parking lot on Keen Road. The course is an out and back. The first half is mostly downhill, going through neighborhoods. A brief departure onto a paved footpath will take runners around a pond in Kenilworth before returning to the streets. The second half of the race will return runners to an exciting finish line experience. The team option will allow a group of five runners to register under a team name and compete against other registered teams. The team score will be the cumulative sum of the finishing place for each team member. Fun Walk: Those who want to participate but not run the 5k can register for a 1.5-mile fun walk. The walk will start at approximately 9:30 and follow the race course. Kids-Run: We will continue this fun portion of the morning and allow the children to race along Keen road! Last year’s kid-run was a highlight full of smiles, competition, excitement and joy as children raced toward a finish line surrounded by family members and friends. This is free, and will vary in length due to age (no longer than 200m). Each child will receive a prize. Post-race refreshments, music, fellowship and age group awards will culminate the 5k experience. The Coventry 300 5k is held in conjunction with the Coventry Church Fall Festival. Following the race and award ceremony, there will be food, games, and activities for children and adults.
