This is a 5k run and 1 mile dog walk to benefit the Humane Society of Calloway County. The 1 mile dog walk will be inside the Murray State Arboretum on the paved path. If you are unable to attend the event, there is a virtual run option. Each person participating in the 1 mile walk or the 5k run who sign up before April first will receive a t-shirt the day of the event!  We will also have Humane Society foster dogs and puppies available to meet and greet!

Join us for a community 5K run & walk in support of mental health awareness. All ages and paces welcome—come move your body, breathe deeply, and connect. Enjoy pre-race yoga and breath-work, uplifting music, and a vendor village celebrating wellness, creativity, and care.

Join us in the fight against Parkinson's!  The 6th Annual Fighting Back Against Parkinson’s 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run Saturday, June 6, 2026  8:00 AM 1 Mile Run   8:20 AM 5K Run CFSB Center, Murray State University This race is a fundraiser to support Rock Steady Boxing 270, a program that empowers people with Parkinson’s Disease to fight back.  Rock Steady Boxing 270 provides specialized non-contact boxing training that gives people with PD a fighting chance at a better quality of life. The Racer 5K began in 2013, with the mission to have a fun morning running throughout our beautiful campus! It has grown yearly with tremendous community support. The funds raised go to supporting Murray State Cross Country and Track and Field programs.
