Run for Another is an annual charitable 5K/10K run/walk to support Orphan Relief Projects directed by Promise Kids a Future, Inc. (PKAF), a Hague-Accredited non-profit organization based in Georgetown, KY.  PKAF is also a child placement agency and provides ongoing support through its projects to help sponsor children with food, clothing, school supplies, education and the operation of Noah’s Ark home for orphaned children.

Healthy Kids Running Series Spring 2026 - Georgetown, MA

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.  Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. Thanks to the Georgetown Trails Foundation, we will be running on incredibly well-built, scenic, and fun single track dirt trails linking multiple beautiful parks together, all the while hugging the banks of the San Gabriel River. Run Wild Rhino Rush 5k

RunWild Rhino Rush 5K Get ready to stomp, dash, and sprint your way through a wildly fun evening of running on Saturday, July 11th, 2025 at GFC Soccer Park in Georgetown! Our 5k course will run through our beautiful soccer complex on the road. Be sure to say hi to the wildlife before the turn-around.  Event Day Schedule   5:45 PM – Rhino Dash (Free)A wild stampede of cuteness! This 1/4 mile loop around the parking lot is for kids ages 6 & under. Parents are welcome to help their little rhinos along the way as they tackle one fun loop. Kids will have the pleasure of chasing one of our parents dressed as a Rhino!    6:00 PM – Rhino Rush 5K  ($25)Ready to take it up a notch? This 2-loop course (1.56 miles per loop) combines a fast and fun layout with a little extra challenge. Mogadishu Mile - Georgetown, Kentucky

Get ready for the 2025 Mogadishu Mile Kentucky!  This year's event will be held on the beautiful property of White Sulphur Baptist Church located at 5300 Ironworks Road (on the corner of Iron Works Road and Frankfort Road) in Georgetown, Kentucky.  The event will start with four person teams each required to carry 4 ammo cans with them through the obstacle portion of the event. This portion, which is less than .5 mile, will have 5 events with each team performing 100 reps total of each exercise. The reps can be divided up amongst the team as they see fit. The event exercise's are: tire flip, box jumps, smash ball, burpees, push ups. After the last exercise, the teams will drop the ammo cans and grab a 35 lb. ruck to finish out a 1 mile run. Upon completion of the last team member, the time stops. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each division (Adult Elite; Adult Novice; College ROTC; High School Co-Ed; High School All-Female) Each team will consist of 4 members who

This community-building event supports the mission of VFW Post 6444 while promoting outdoor conservation and increasing awareness and responsible use of Rocky Point Community Forest containing more than 650 acres located between Choppee Road, Choppee Creek, and the Black River in Georgetown County.  This community building event supports the mission of VFW Post 6444 while promoting outdoor conservation and increasing awareness and responsible use of Rocky Point Community Forest.
