Pretzel City 5k 8:00 AM Start

Freeport, IL
This is a great event whether you are a novice runner looking to run your first 5k, or a seasoned competitor looking to beat your personal best time. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome to participate. The course consists of flat roadways and paths that wind through picturesque Krape Park. The race is also part of the Rockford Road Runners circuit. All pre-registered participants will receive an event T-shirt. Starting in the parking lot near mini golf and the baseball field, along Yellow Creek, past the Krape Park waterfall, and twin caves, over two scenic bridges then out the tree lined south entrance of the park and return. Refreshments and awards after the race int eh Gunkle Shelter. The course is certified by USA Track and Field (code IL-12088-JW) and recognized by RRCA.

Lincoln Douglas 5K and Fun Run

Farm to Farm Ultra

The Farm To Farm Ultra Run is held on a looped course in Freeport, Maine on the Wolfe's Neck Center & Freeport Conservation Trust trails, but also includes four virtual options: 5 miles, 10 miles, 30 miles, and 50 miles. This event is part of the Maine Track Club Grand Prix Series, and participants are allowed to earn points for one virtual event in addition to or instead of the in-person race. If you intend to do both in-person and virtual, you must register separately for each event. Click here to register for the in-person race on Sunday, Sep. 27 2026   The entry fee for each virtual event is $25, with no t-shirt included. If you would like a shirt, please contact us! They are 15$ for local pickup (greater Portland area) or 20$ to ship.    Participant will have from Sep. 14 2026 to Oct. 12 2026 (Indigenous Peoples' Day) to complete their chosen distance(s) and submit results.

Autumn Leaf Run

Freeport, IL
Take in the spectacular scenery at the Autumn Leaf Run. It's open to all ages and all skill levels of runners, walkers and nature enthusiasts. The 5k trail loops through diverse terrain including wide tree-lined trails, moderate hills, prairie areas, bridge crossings and several single track trail sections. The start and finish lines will be in close proximity and the race will be timed using a chip timing system. All proceeds go to the Freeport Parks Foundation to help fund upcoming projects at Oakdale Nature Preserve Park.
