Pulling for the Community

This is a C2 Row Erg 4-person team event located at Outstate Brewing, one of the local breweries. The 4-person teams can be all male, all female, or 2 males & 2 females. This event is  45:00 for meters with awards for the top three teams in each division. Each team will establish an order for their athletes in which they must rotate through that order with each athlete completing at least one full pull on the rower before they can transition out. There is no limit to how long each participant spends on the rower as long as each team completes one full rotation through their athletes. All proceeds from this event go to the Lake Region Healthcare Unity Wellness Foundation Fund to support individuals who want to participate in any of the wellness programs but do not have the means to. If you want to participate in the event, but do not have a team, email kjgustafson@lrhc.org to get put on the list of those who need a team. More rules and information coming soon!

Lake Region Run

RACE DAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE AT PACKET PICK-UP ON FRIDAY NIGHT & SATURDAY MORNING. For more information visit the Lake Region Run website. The Lake Region Run has been the lakes area premier event since 2007. The beautiful scenery of the Fergus Falls area, the variety of race lengths, and ideal temperates in early June make the race a perfect fit for the casual runner/walker to the serious competitor who wants to tackle the challenging hills of the 10-mile course.  Trophies will be awarded to the top overall male and female while top three finishers in each age division will receive an award. ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A FINISHERS MEDAL!  You must be registered by May 17th to be guaranteed a race t-shirt. Anyone who registers after May 17th will receive a pair of Performance Fitsok Running Socks instead of a t-shirt. All youth 12 and under are guaranteed a t-shirt, however their t-shirt is not guaranteed to be available for pickup at the race if they register after May 17t

Hoot Lake Triathlon: 30th Anniversary

The YMCA of the Northern Sky Hoot Lake Triathlon!  The Vision: The vision and goals of the 30th Annual Hoot Lake Triathlon are: Provide a great event for all tri-athletesPromote and enhance the sport of triathlonsSupport the LIVESTRONG program NEW to our Fergus Falls Branch Event proceeds will support the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program in Fergus Falls, MN. LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a 12-week physical activity program designed to help adult cancer survivors regain strength through exercise and connect with other survivors. Date and Times: Sunday, July 26th, 2026 Packet Pickup will be available on the 25th at the YMCA in Fergus Falls, as well as before the race.  The pre-Race meeting will be held at 7:30 AM sharp. Swan Lake Grit-N-Gravel Triathlon

Swan Lake Resort & Campground is honored to host a gnarly race through the beautiful waters, formidable hills, and rugged trails of Minnesota lakes country. Our intent is to organize a safe and rewarding race experience for everyone. Triathlon Race SegmentsIndividual and Relay teams will complete: Swim: 1,000 yard Athletes will depart from a beautiful sandy beach into serene Swan Lake for a 1,000 yard swim around clearly marked buoys. The course features a maximum depth of 8 ft and typical August water temperatures hover around 70°F. For participant safety, the swim segment will be closely patrolled by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department and Dalton Fire & Rescue.  Bike: 18 mile The bike route offers a true dichotomy of terrain, with 60% hilly gravel roads and 40% buttery-flat pavement on the Central Lakes Trail, totaling over 1,000 feet of elevation gain. Athletes will ride approximately 1/2 mile each way on County Road 29 to access and return from the main gravel roads
