Join us for a meaningful 5k fundraiser supporting the mental health of our brave first responders! Lace up your shoes and show your support for those who dedicate their lives to keep us safe. This lovely route around 1st Phorm and the Fenton Firehouse will help raise awareness and funds for the essential mental health resources for our first responders. FENTON FESTIVAL OF FITNESS 🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♂️ Join us for the inaugural Fenton Festival of Fitness at Ivan Williams Stadium (Fenton High School Football Field) — a high-energy celebration of fitness for athletes of all backgrounds.Experience the thrill of a competitive 1-Mile race finishing under the Friday Night Lights, cheered on by fans in the stands. Feel the electricity as multiple heats of 12 Teams of 4 (48 hybrid athletes) battle head-to-head on the field in a lights-on, crowd-fueled fitness showdown. The Fenton Firecracker is an annual tradition just prior to the Fenton 4TH of July Parade.  Come join us for fun and fitness, then stay for the parade! The 13th annual Fenton Firecracker 5K and 2.5K is back!  This is a great race for athletes and weekend warriors alike on July 4th.  The race begins at 9:45 am so be sure to be in place with your bib on by 9:30 am. Race starts at the Ellen Street Campus (World of Wonder) which is also the finish line! Packet pick up will be at Freedom Center Church, 2473 W. Shiawassee Ave, Fenton, July 2nd 9 am-12 pm or July 2nd 6pm-8pm. If you are unable to make it on that day, packets can also be picked up at 7am on the day of the race. In December of 2021, Captain Andrew Allman was suddenly and abruptly diagnosed with stage four gastric adenocarcinoma, a cancer attributed to his exposure to burn pits from his deployment with the U.S. Army to Baghdad, Iraq eleven years prior. Andrew valiantly fought this aggressive cancer for seven months. Unfortunately, on Father’s Day, June 19 of 2022, he passed away, leaving behind his wife of almost fourteen years, Sarah, and their three school-aged children. Despite the aggressiveness of the cancer and the harsh side effects of the chemotherapy, Andrew resolved to fight with everything he had. At the time of his diagnosis, he was bedridden, but perseverance and determination allowed him to regain some strength and he was able to go on walks during his "rally-period." At one point, he managed to walk three miles in one day with Sarah by his side.
