Join us for the CAC Root Beer Float Run on Saturday, June 13, 2026, and race to raise funds and inspire hope! All participants can celebrate their accomplishment with a complimentary root beer float after completing the course! Location: Busse Woods Grove #27, 331 S Arlington Heights Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 Race Time: 7:30 AM start time for 10K & 8:00AM start time for 5K Course Maps: Click here! Highlights: This is a family-friendly event! Kids and adults of all ages are welcome. All children can participate in the 50-yard dash, and registration for the 5K is open to kids through age 12 at discounted pricing. We recommend all kids 12 and under run with an adult.  Strollers welcome! (Runners pushing strollers will be asked to start near the back.) This run is NOT a pet-friendly race. Join us for a family-friendly 5K race and fun run/walk! Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 8 a.m. at Busse Woods (Grove #32) for a great cause! The Christus Victor Lutheran Church Food Pantry supports over 60 families each week who come in to “shop” for free. In addition to offering nonperishable and perishable food items, we also offer personal care products and hats and gloves in the winter. This funds raised from this event will support our food pantry!   This event is open to the community and will be a family-friendly event. There will be a DJ and a cookout with delicious food to follow! In addition to a chip-timed 5K run or walk, there will be activities for the children and an untimed (free) children’s race. There will also be a box to collect food donations! A raffle to support the food pantry will also be held throughout the month of September at Christus Victor Lutheran Church if you are interested in winning fun prizes! We are so 'pumpkin' excited to host Northwest CASA’s annual Pumpkin Dash 5K fun run/walk, with the opportunity to run/walk a 10k option! Come join us as we raise awareness against sexual violence and funds to support our free services to survivors.  Participants registered prior to 9/7 will receive a free event t-shirt, so register today!  Day of registration will begin at 8:30am and the race will start at 9:00am.
